Responsibilities: - Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect any ocular abnormalities or diseases. - Prescribe and fit corrective lenses or contact lenses based on patients' visual needs. - Diagnose and manage various eye conditions, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. - Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries. - Educate patients on proper eye care practices, including hygiene, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists and opticians, to ensure coordinated patient care. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient.Skills: - Strong sales skills to effectively communicate the benefits of various eyewear options to patients. - Proficient in aseptic technique to ensure a sterile environment during eye examinations and procedures. - Knowledge of ophthalmology principles and practices to accurately diagnose and manage eye conditions. - Experience in senior care to provide specialized eye care services for elderly patients. - Excellent patient care skills to establish rapport, address concerns, and provide personalized treatment plans. - Familiarity with medical systems for electronic health record management and appointment scheduling. - Understanding of medical terminology and coding to accurately document patient encounters and submit insurance claims. - In-depth knowledge of anatomy to assess the structure and function of the eyes. - Experience in pediatric optometry to provide comprehensive eye care for children.Note: Pay depends on quality of work, experience and number of hours willing to work.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: From $600.00 per dayWork Location: In person

OPTOMETRIST - THE EYE DOCTOR ULTD (COLLEGE PARK, GEORGIA)

Responsibilities: - Assist optometrist in performing eye exams and tests - Take patient medical history and record relevant information - Perform preliminary tests such as visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception - Conduct diagnostic tests such as tonometry and visual field testing - Prepare patients for contact lens fittings and assist with contact lens insertion and removal - Educate patients on proper eye care and contact lens hygiene - Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment - Assist with front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and verifying insurance informationExperience: - Previous experience as an optometric technician or in a related field preferred - Knowledge of pediatric optometry, ophthalmology, and optical procedures is a plus - Familiarity with medical billing, coding, and insurance processes is beneficial - Proficiency in taking vital signs and performing basic medical procedures using aseptic technique is desirable - Strong communication skills to interact with patients, colleagues, and vendors - Sales experience or knowledge of optical products is advantageous - Understanding of ocular anatomy, physiology, and common eye conditionsJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: From $12.00 per hourWork Location: In person
