In this role, you&rsquo;ll collaborate closely with the sales and manufacturing teams, creating submittal drawings in AutoCAD and supporting shop drawings in SolidWorks. You&rsquo;ll help design steel and aluminum security gates used across the country, playing a key role in maintaining our position as an industry leader in security solutions.

 Your Role as a Mechanical Designer/Drafter: 
As part of our design team, you will:
<ul><li>
Design and maintain layouts, cut sheets, and drawings for high-quality steel and aluminum gate products</li><li>
Convert product specifications, photos, and notes into detailed drawings for both sales and manufacturing teams</li><li>
Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for the manufacturing process</li><li>
Turn sales orders into work orders using our ERP system</li><li>
Create nest layouts for plasma, laser, and waterjet cutting processes</li><li>
Suggest design improvements to simplify and optimize products</li><li>
Revise drawings based on Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) from the manufacturing team</li></ul> 


What We&rsquo;re Looking For:
<ul><li>
Associate&rsquo;s degree in Mechanical Drafting or Design (or equivalent work experience)</li><li>
Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills</li><li>
A solid mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of design principles</li><li>
Experience with document management systems</li><li>
Manufacturing or fabrication experience (steel or aluminum) is a plus</li></ul>

Mechanical Designer/Drafter

Your role as a HR Generalist/Recruiter: 

<ul><li>
Create and update position descriptions as well as internal and external job postings</li><li>
Attend career fairs and host site visits for student groups</li><li>
Assist in the coordination of internships throughout the company</li><li>
Review applicants, conduct prescreening interviews, coordinate second interviews/job assessments and perform all required background screening after an offer is extended.</li><li>
Provide service beyond expectations to all prospective, current and retired team members of Fort Miller Group</li><li>
Work closely with the HR team to coordinate events such as new hire meetings, company lunches, annual functions, scheduled new hire check-ins, etc.</li></ul>

</li></ul>WWhat we&rsquo;re looking for:

At least three years of experience as a recruiter</li><li>
Proficiency with HR/Applicant Tracking systems</li><li>
Minimum of an associate degree in a business field</li><li>
Ability to &ldquo;read&rdquo; people and assist hiring managers with hiring decisions</li><li>
Excellent oral and written communication skills</li><li>
Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency</li><li>
Ability to multi-task in an environment with constant interruptions</li></ul>
