<div><p>George Evans Corporation (GEC) is seeking a motivated and experienced <b>Weld Lead</b> to join our team. This position works a regular schedule of <b>Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.</b> and is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and support to the welding department while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and adherence to company standards.</p><p></p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Essential Responsibilities</b></h3><ul><li>
Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the welding department.</li><li>
Assign work and prioritize tasks to meet production schedules and customer requirements.</li><li>
Train, mentor, and support welders and new employees in proper procedures and best practices.</li><li>
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety policies and OSHA requirements.</li><li>
Monitor quality standards and ensure products meet specifications and customer expectations.</li><li>
Assist in troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions.</li><li>
Maintain a positive and productive work environment that aligns with GEC's core values.</li><li>
Communicate production concerns, staffing needs, and equipment issues to management.</li><li>
Monitor the productivity and performance of team members and provide feedback to management.</li><li>
Ensure proper housekeeping and organization within the welding department.</li><li>
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and process improvements.</li><li>
Perform welding duties and other production tasks as needed.</li><li>
Understand and follow all applicable requirements of GEC's ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS).</li><li>
Ensure welding department processes, work instructions, and records are completed accurately and maintained in accordance with ISO requirements.</li><li>
Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.</li><li>
Participate in internal audits, corrective actions, and process improvement initiatives as requested.</li><li>
Ensure employees are trained on applicable procedures and comply with documented processes and quality standards.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Qualifications</b></h3><ul><li>
High school diploma or GED required.</li><li>
Minimum of 3-5 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.</li><li>
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of welding techniques, blueprints, and quality standards.</li><li>
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.</li><li>
Ability to train and motivate employees while fostering teamwork and accountability.</li><li>
Basic computer skills preferred.</li><li>
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and continuous improvement principles preferred.</li><li>
Ability to maintain accurate production and quality records and ensure compliance with documented procedures.</li></ul><p>
 <b>Schedule:</b> Monday&ndash;Thursday, 6:00 a.m.&ndash;4:00 p.m. (10-hour shifts). Occasional overtime on Fridays may be required based on production needs.</p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Physical Requirements</b></h3><ul><li>
Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.</li><li>
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and moving equipment.</li><li>
Ability to safely operate welding and material handling equipment.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
