ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Primary accountability for specific functions and results)
 
<ul><li>Provide quality customer service is an essential component of every position within GIANT/MARTIN'S stores. Each position helps its own group of customers, which may consist of consumers, co-workers, vendors, and business associates.
</li><li>Receive, processes, prepares, wraps, slices, weighs, marks, and packages products.
</li><li>Maintain proper shelf, case, and display conditions, to include stocking, cleaning, straightening, and rotating product, which typically weighs less than 30 lbs.</li><li>Maintain proper cooler conditions to include coding, rotating, organizing cases of product (frequently weighing more than 20 lbs. and occasionally weighing up to 50 lbs.), and cleaning.</li><li>Maintain proper prep area conditions, to include cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces, utensils, and equipment.</li><li>Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as they apply to the deli area.</li><li>Maintain safe and clean sales floor conditions, to include sweeping and mopping.</li><li>Provide exceptionally friendly and courteous customer service. Must be able to answer questions, make recommendations, and promote products through suggestive selling.</li><li>Must dress according to company policy and maintain a neat, clean appearance at all times.</li><li>Must complete ELM training courses as they are added to the learning page.

The primary purpose of this job is to fill prescriptions, help customers, unpack totes, anwer telephone, and answer questions within specified limits. Team members are required to be either state or nationally certified. 
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
 
<ul><li>Promptly, at the start of the shift, the team member will review the work schedule, check the equipment, and fill supplies as needed that would be required to perform the work scheduled, comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.
</li><li>Move totes, open totes, unpack incoming supplies, and put the items on appropriate shelves.
</li><li>Clean various shelving, check inventory levels, and inspect product for expiration dates.
</li><li>Help customers and answer telephone calls.
</li><li>Must verify identification of customers for products when required.
</li><li>Complete the prescription filling process, which includes data entry and product dispensing.
</li><li>Required to be state or nationally certified and must maintain license certification on their own. If technician is certified to immunize, they will also complete the process immunizing customers.</li></ul> 

QUALIFICATIONS 
 
<ul><li>Must be authorized to work in the U.S.</li><li>Must meet state required minimum age.</li><li>Must be able to successfully complete background check and drug screening.</li><li>Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with company policies and safety regulations.</li><li>Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.</li><li>Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.</li><li>Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.</li><li>Must be able to perform all job functions safely.</li><li>Must meet the company performance standards for the job.</li><li>Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.</li><li>Must have and maintain valid specialty licenses, certificates, or permits required for the position.</li></ul> 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 
 
<ul><li>Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shift or more depending upon business needs</li><li>Job cycles: continual max</li><li>Lift/carry: 50 lbs.</li><li>Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%</li><li>Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Max pull static: 20 lbs.</li></ul> 
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS 
 
<ul><li>Responsible for understanding company policy and procedures as promulgated in the policy and procedure manual and the employee manual.</li><li>Required to follow all state and federal laws in compliance with pharmacy rules and standards.</li><li>Know MSDS information about all materials used during work.</li><li>Must complete and follow Lockout/Tagout training.</li><li>Must complete and follow Confined Space training.</li><li>Must complete Right-to-Know training.</li><li>Must complete HIPAA for Pharmacy Associates training.</li><li>Must complete all additional pharmacy training requirements.</li></ul>
