Nanny/Family Assistant for Active Boy &ndash; Menlo Park, CA Location: Menlo Park Compensation &amp; Benefits: $45&ndash;$50/hr, DOE, $500 monthly health stipend, PTO &amp; Sick Days Schedule:<ul><li>Monday&ndash;Friday: 12:00pm&ndash;7:00pm</li><li>Thursday later end time: 12:00pm-10:00pm</li><li>Flexibility for earlier hours during school breaks and summer</li><li>Travel required with the family at times</li></ul>A warm and thoughtful family in Menlo Park is seeking an experienced Nanny or Manny to support their bright and energetic 6-year-old son. The family has had the same nanny for the past six years and is now looking for someone who can provide more structured support as their son continues to grow and develop. Their son is high functioning on the autism spectrum and currently participates in OT and ABA therapy, with speech therapy beginning soon. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of emotional regulation, respecting boundaries, and calmly navigating moments of frustration or aggression. Patience, consistency, and a nurturing but confident approach are essential. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working with active children and wants to be a supportive, positive presence in a child&rsquo;s development.Responsibilities<ul><li>School pickup and transportation to activities and therapy appointments in family&rsquo;s vehicle.</li><li>Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the child, with openness to researching and introducing new foods</li><li>Support daily routines and help reinforce structure and consistency</li><li>Encourage independence and tidiness, guiding the child to help clean up toys and personal spaces</li><li>Child&rsquo;s laundry and bedroom organization</li><li>Manage and coordinate the child&rsquo;s activity and therapy schedule</li><li>Research summer camps and enrichment activities, keeping track in spreadsheets</li><li>Light household support related to the child and maintaining an organized environment</li><li>Work collaboratively with parents and therapists to support developmental goals</li></ul>Ideal Candidate Experience working with children on the autism spectrum or with special needs (preferred) Knowledge of emotional regulation strategies and respectful boundary setting Patient, calm, and able to confidently navigate challenging moments Energetic and active, able to keep up with a busy child Tech-savvy and organized with schedules and research Valid driver&rsquo;s license and clean driving record Passport Ready and ability to travel Clean Background Check CPR Certification RequiredVaccinations: Due to an immunosuppressed household member, the client prefers candidates who are up to date on vaccinations. The COVID vaccine is not required, but the candidate should be willing to receive a seasonal flu shot each fall (paid for by the family).Driving: A family vehicle will be provided for transporting the child.
