Your Role in Action:

Conduct comprehensive assessments, adhering strictly to our department's policy and procedural guidelines.</li><li>
Ensure client welfare through regular, at least quarterly, monitoring tailored to each consumer's unique needs.</li><li>
Maintain the highest standard of data integrity by updating consumer files as necessary.</li><li>
Be responsible for timely documentation, ensuring all records are updated within our established timelines.</li><li>
Uphold a safe and healthy environment by complying with all safety and health requirements and staying updated with mandatory training programs.</li></ul>

What qualifications you will need:

Education
<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (B.A.) from four-year accredited college or university with a major in a social, behavioral, or human service field, including but not limited to: psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human development, gerontology, educational psychology, education, and criminal justice.</li><li>
OR any Bachelor's degree with one (1) year experience working with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities</li></ul>

Experience
<ul><li>
Minimum of one year experience in the human services field preferred.</li><li>
Experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities preferred.</li><li>
Must possess effective written, verbal communication, and organizational skills.</li><li>
Must be able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>
Effectively communicates and works with consumers, family members, visitors and fellow employees in a manner that demonstrates knowledge of cultural diversities.</li></ul>

Other Key Qualifications

Must maintain a valid Texas Driver's License and be insurable under Agency policy.</div></li><li><div>

Service Coordinator

<div>The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD (&ldquo;The HARRIS CENTER&rdquo;) is looking for a Licensed Therapist (LPHA) to join our Youth Crisis Outreach Team (YCOT). Under the general direction of the Program Director, Clinical Team Lead, or designated staff, the LPHA performs clinical activities such as independent assessments and service interventions as directed by the treatment plan and/or identified consumer need(s). This position interfaces with Treatment Teams both inpatient and outpatient and authorizes the medical necessity of services, as indicated. This position is responsible for providing the following services: Crisis Intervention, Mental Health Assessments, case management and follow-up, and liaison between the Agency and the community. YCOT interfaces with other programs in the Agency, law enforcement, and the community

What will you do:
<ul><li>
The YCOT LPHA performs community-based crisis assessments to determine needed level of care, assess for safety, and formulate diagnosis.</li><li>
The YCOT LPHA provides crisis counseling and intervention to individuals to reduce symptoms, provide education and prevent admission to a more restrictive environment.</li><li>
The YCOT LPHA collaboratively creates a treatment plan with the consumer to outline treatment goals.</li><li>
The YCOT LPHA provides case management activities to assist consumers in gaining and coordinating access to necessary care and services in accordance with treatment plan goals.</li><li>
The YCOT LPHA monitors consumer progress with treatment goals and linkage to services.</li><li>
The YCOT LPHA educates family members so they may understand the individual&rsquo;s mental health symptoms, treatment and assist with referring to community resources.</li><li>
The YCOT LPHA provides information on mental health, the importance of medications and treatment compliance, and other clinical related information to individual, family, community as needed.</li><li>
The YCOT LPHA completes electronic documentation each work day as outlined in MCOT Operating Guidelines. This documentation becomes part of the medical record for the Agency.
</li><li>The YCOT LPHA, when interacting with the community and colleagues, follows the key principles of a trauma informed approach (i.e. safety, trustworthiness and transparency, peer support, collaboration and mutuality, empowerment, voice and choice, cultural, historical, and gender issues).</li><li>
The YCOT LPHA meets divisional and program productivity standards.</li><li>
The YCOT LPHA performs related work as assigned and adapts to changing work requirements.</li><li>
The YCOT LPHA demonstrates ethical conduct in all professional activities.</li><li>
The YCOT LPHA complies with Agency policies and procedures and MCOT Operating Guidelines.</li><li>
The YCOT LPHA will be designated crisis staff once weekly. Responsibilities include entering and contacting all new referrals, answering office telephone calls, and responding to Emergent and Urgent classified referrals.</li><li>
The YCOT LPHA is available to provide any assistance not listed above to the Agency, Program Director, Clinical Team Lead, or staff as requested and required.</li></ul>

What qualifications you will need:

Education:
<ul><li>
Master&rsquo;s degree (M.A.) from four-year accredited college or university with a major in a social, behavior, or human service field, including but not limited to: psychology, social work, counseling, sociology, human development, and educational psychology.</li></ul>

Experience:
<ul><li>Must have 2 years experiencing working in a mental health setting.</li></ul>

Other Key Qualifications
<ul><li> Clinical license through the State of Texas for one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Licenser credentials plus one to two years of clinical experience post Master&rsquo;s degree preferred. Will be required to work several on call shifts on weekend and overnight as well as holidays to support a 24/7 365 crisis program.
</li></ul><ul><li> Must maintain a valid Texas Driver&rsquo;s License and be insurable under Agency policy.</li></ul> 


Knowledge/Skills &amp; Ability:
<ul><li> Knowledge of and ability to apply crisis intervention techniques.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Strong diagnostic skills, the ability to incorporate patient history, symptoms, environmental and related issues to formulate proper diagnosis and treatment.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Strong communication skills, listening and interpersonal skills above average, written documentation is clear, concise, and well- constructed.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Effective time management and organizational skills.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Must be able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>

Licensed Therapist (LPHA) - YCOT

<div>The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD (&ldquo;The HARRIS CENTER&rdquo;) is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team, Under the direct supervision of a Physician or Physician Assistant, the Certified Medical Assistant will perform medical procedures and tests, maintain patient records, explain common medical procedures to patients, and assist with basic examinations.

Your role in action:

Perform medical procedures and tests under the direct supervision of a Physician or Physician Assistant.</li><li>
Assist Physician with exams and tests</li><li>
Measure and record vital signs, including:</li></ul>
<ul><li><ul><li>Blood pressure</li><li>
Pulse</li><li>
Temperature</li><li>
Weight</li><li>
Height</li></ul>
</li><li>Interview patients</li><li>
Instruct patients on medication administration, diet, exercise, and other Physician directed orders.</li><li>
Keep accurate patient records and ensure that all related reports, information, and lab results are organized and filed with patient records.</li><li>
Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies and instruments.</li><li>
Prepare examination rooms between patients.</li><li>
Sterilize medical instruments after each patient</li><li>
Answer calls from patients, physicians, and pharmacies and take appropriate action.</li><li>
Call-in prescriptions and prescription refills daily.</li><li>
Maintain accurate logs of office supplies and equipment</li></ul>

What qualifications you will need:

Education:

 Experience:
