The Job at a GlanceAbout UsThe Heartland Roadshow, established in 2009, is a premier buyer of estate jewelry, precious metals, gold and silver coins, antiques, and collectibles. If you&rsquo;ve ever seen &ldquo;Antiques Roadshow,&rdquo; this is similar to what we do. We set up boutique &ldquo;buying events&rdquo; at various hotel locations throughout the region, where folks come to sell us their estate items&mdash;primarily gold, silver, coins, and watches.Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations &amp; Logistics Manager to oversee show scheduling, buyer scheduling, and travel logistics for our teams across the Heartland Roadshow. This role is central to ensuring our events run smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can juggle multiple priorities, can manage a team of people and has a knack for solving operational challenges before they become issues.Key ResponsibilitiesThis role will oversee and manage the following operational departments, ensuring they run efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with Heartland Roadshow standards:Show SchedulingThe Operations &amp; Logistics Manager will lead the full lifecycle of event planning, from market selection through final confirmation. Responsibilities include working with your dedicated team to:<ul><li>Providing strategic oversight as hotels within targeted cities are identified and evaluated for Roadshow events.</li><li>Guiding the negotiation and contracting process to secure meeting space while maintaining strong, dependable relationships with hotel partners.</li><li>Ensuring the master event calendar is meticulously maintained, with all show details finalized, accurate, and communicated across all relevant teams.</li><li>Implementing processes and timelines to ensure show logistics are planned proactively and executed consistently.</li></ul>Buyer SchedulingThe Operations &amp; Logistics Manager will oversee staffing operations to support successful Roadshow events. Responsibilities include working with your dedicated team to:<ul><li>Supervising the assignment of buyers to events based on skill sets, performance, experience levels, and show-specific requirements.</li><li>Ensuring staffing levels are appropriate and aligned with expected show volume and complexity.</li><li>Leading communication between buyers, regional leadership, and supporting departments to ensure alignment, clarity, and readiness.</li><li>Monitoring team capacity, workload, and performance to optimize staffing efficiency.</li></ul>Travel PlanningThe Operations &amp; Logistics Manager will own the travel operations function, ensuring staff travel is arranged accurately and cost-effectively.
