More information about the Library is on the Library&rsquo;s website at www.insurancelibrary.org.Summary of Position<ul><li>Reports to the Executive Director</li><li>Primarily responsible for full cycle bookkeeping using accrual accounting</li><li>Please note: A minimum of five years of bookkeeping experience, including substantial hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and Excel, and some experience with accrual accounting, is required. Applicants who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.</li><li>Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support to the Executive Director and assisting with some administrative aspects of education programs or events</li></ul>Principal ResponsibilitiesQuickBooks:<ul><li>Maintain accurate financial records</li></ul>&middot; Process and manage all aspects of A/R and A/P&middot; Prepare bank deposits and reconcile bank statements and internal accounts&middot; Record payroll data from payroll service reports&middot; Record investment account journal entries prepared by external accountant&middot; Generate basic financial statements and reports&middot; Assist with preparing annual budget&middot; Compile material for annual auditSupport for Executive Director:<ul><li>Provide general administrative support for Executive Director, including generating annual fund thank you letters/tax receipts (using Word mail merge)</li></ul>Bloomerang:&middot; Update financial and constituent data in Bloomerang donor management databaseEducation and Event Support:<ul><li>If time permits, assist Education &amp; Event Coordinator in processing education program registrations, continuing education credits, and serving as backup during webinars, and processing registrations and otherwise preparing for events</li></ul>Please note: Because we are a small team, all employees occasionally assist with projects and events outside their primary responsibilities.Qualifications&middot; College degree (Associate or Bachelor) or bookkeeping certification such as CB or CPB&middot; A MINIMUM OF FIVE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN FULL CYCLE BOOKKEEPING OR ACCOUNTING, WITH PROFICIENCY IN QUICKBOOKS AND SOME EXPERIENCE WITH ACCRUAL ACCOUNTING, IS MANDATORY&middot; Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Mail.
