This role is responsible for preparing and producing high-quality baked goods, desserts, and pastries for both the restaurant and hotel operations. Key Requirements<ul><li>
Availability: Must be fully flexible and available to work weekends and holidays as required.</li><li>
Experience: Previous pastry or baking experience required, including breads, cakes, and dessert production.</li><li>
Education: Culinary or pastry degree preferred but not required.</li><li>
Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow recipes precisely, and proficiency in baking and decorating techniques.</li><li>
Work Ethic: Dependable, punctual, and dedicated to producing consistent, high-quality products.</li></ul>
Basic Functions &amp; Scope<ul><li>
Prepare, bake, and finish a wide variety of pastries, breads, and desserts according to established recipes and standards.</li><li>
Assist with production for restaurant service, banquet events, and special functions.</li><li>
Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safety in all pastry areas.</li><li>
Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness and minimize waste.</li><li>
You will be covering all the outlets (Banquets, TJ&rsquo;s, Lemaire, Room Service, Afternoon Tea, and Gators).</li><li>
Support the Pastry Chef and culinary team as needed with daily production and service.</li></ul>
Duties &amp; Responsibilities<ul><li>
Produce high-quality baked goods including breads, cakes, breakfast pastries, tarts, mousses, and plated desserts.</li><li>
Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic precision and consistency.</li><li>
Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to maintain product consistency.</li><li>
Ensure all pastry and baking equipment is used safely and properly maintained.</li><li>
Organize and label all ingredients and prepared items for efficient service.</li><li>
Assist with inventory, ordering, and receiving of pastry supplies.</li><li>
Maintain adherence to all health, sanitation, and safety regulations.</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
Minimum of 2 years professional pastry or baking experience in a full-service or fine dining environment.</li><li>
Strong understanding of pastry fundamentals and baking techniques.</li><li>
Culinary or pastry degree preferred.</li><li>
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.</li><li>
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.</li><li>
Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented.</li></ul>
