Position Summary</b></div><p>
The Laborer position is responsible for maintaining the golf course grounds, clubhouse, and landscaping. The duties include but are not limited to: mowing greens, tees, approaches, and collars. Operating backpack blowers, string trimmers, and hedge trimmers. Hand-rakes bunkers and uses turf maintenance equipment, including tractors, loaders, trenchers, mowers, and four-wheelers.</p><div><b>
Essential Functions</b></div><div><ul><li>
Plants and maintains ornamental shrubs and trees.</li><li>
Trims and feeds shrubs and trees; removes cuttings.</li><li>
Maintains landscape beds around clubhouse and club grounds.</li><li>
Rakes and blows leaves.</li><li>
Mows greens, fairways, tees, and rough by operating walk-behind and riding turf equipment.</li><li>
Prepares and lays sod.</li><li>
Prepares soil plant beds and establishes plantings by seed or transplants.</li><li>
Maintains annual and perennial flowers in aesthetic arrangements.</li><li>
Rakes bunkers.</li><li>
Loads and unloads materials.</li><li>
Repairs and maintains golf course and driving range tees.</li><li>
Cleans equipment used on the golf course and practice area.</li><li>
Aerifies and spikes greens.</li><li>
Digs holes and trenches to maintain or construct irrigation and drainage lines.</li><li>
Installs pipe and backfills excavations.</li><li>
Empty garbage cans.</li><li>
Attends staff meetings.</li><li>
Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant.</li></ul></div><div><b>

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities</b></div><div><b>
Required</b></div><div><ul><li>
High school diploma, or equivalent.</li><li>
Valid Driver&rsquo;s License.</li><li>
Golf Course or Landscaping experience preferred, but not required.</li><li>
Must be willing to work outside year-round.</li><li>
Must be able to work some holidays and weekends.</li><li>
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.</li></ul></div><div></div><div><b><br>
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work</b></div><div>
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with working hours Monday through Friday. Some overtime, holidays, or weekends may be required.</div><div></div><div><br>
Typical shifts run from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the summer and 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the winter.</div><div></div><div><b><br>

Work Environment</b></div><div><ul><li>
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.</li><li>
Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.</li></ul></div><div><b>
