The LCF Group, Inc. is an established MCA (Merchant Cash Advance) direct funder located in New Hyde Park, is seeking an ambitious and dedicated Legal Assistant to join our growing team. Since 2011, we&rsquo;ve provided funding to small businesses by purchasing future receivables, repaid via daily ACH debits or a percentage of their credit card sales. In this fast-paced and high-pressure industry, the Legal Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our team.Position: Full-Time (In-office located in New Hyde Park, NY) Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 6 PMLegal Assistant Responsibilities include but not limited to:<ul><li>Preparing collection, demand, and notification letters.</li><li>Organizing, storing, and retrieving documents, including evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, and other case-related materials.</li><li>Drafting notices of appearance and proofs of claim in accordance with judicial procedures.</li><li>Filing documents to NYSCEF</li><li>Collaborating with other departments to improve processes, procedures, and policies.</li></ul>Legal Assistant Qualifications:<ul><li>A solid understanding of New York Civil Practice Law and Rules (CPLR).</li><li>At least 1 year of experience as a Legal Assistant in a litigation</li><li>Proficiency with NYSCEF.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).</li><li>The ability to multi-task in a busy environment.</li><li>A professional demeanor and positive attitude.</li><li>Salesforce experience (a plus).</li></ul>The LCF Group Inc. offers competitive benefits, including:<ul><li>Weekly Payroll</li><li>Medical Insurance</li><li>Health Savings Account (HSA)</li><li>Flexible Spending Account (FSA)</li><li>Dental and Vision Insurance</li><li>401K with percentage match and more!</li></ul>Join our team as we continue to grow and thrive in a competitive industry.
