We&rsquo;re currently seeking a hands-on, reliable, and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team and help us keep our hotel running smoothly every day.Position Summary: As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the property&rsquo;s physical integrity, ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable experience for our guests and staff. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can perform a wide range of general repairs and maintenance duties with minimal supervision.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and hotel equipment</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances</li><li>Respond promptly to guest requests and service tickets, ensuring timely and professional resolution</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop and mechanical rooms</li><li>Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies</li><li>Work closely with the housekeeping and front desk teams to identify and resolve maintenance issues</li><li>Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA and local safety codes and hotel policies</li><li>Assist with seasonal projects, snow removal, painting, and general upkeep of the building exterior</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Prior experience in hotel or facility maintenance preferred (1-3 years minimum)</li><li>Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems</li><li>Ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple tasks</li><li>Strong communication skills and a commitment to exceptional guest service</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks</li><li>Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays</li><li>Must possess or aquire the following certifications within the probationary period of employment: S95 and S93</li></ul>Why Join The Lodge Red Hook?<ul><li>Be part of a close-knit, supportive team</li><li>Work in a stylish and creative environment in the heart of Red Hook</li><li>Employee perks and development opportunities</li><li>Pride in helping deliver a unique Brooklyn hotel experience</li></ul>Apply Today!
