Job DescriptionLotis Environmental, LLC is hiring a NEPA Administrative Assistant to support our growing NEPA practice. This is a fully remote, full-time position open to candidates based in or near Columbia, MO. You'll work directly alongside a dedicated Project Lead who is also local to the Columbia area &mdash; making in-person onboarding, training, and occasional check-ins easy and accessible.This role is built for someone who is dependable, self-directed, and takes real pride in delivering accurate work on time. At Lotis, you'll find a respectful, family-style culture that genuinely supports your growth &mdash; professionally and personally.What You'll Do<ul><li>Pull, review, and organize maps and project data with a high degree of accuracy</li><li>Prepare and submit documents to government agencies, tribes, and other stakeholders</li><li>Coordinate legal public notices</li><li>Communicate with tribal and government agencies as directed</li><li>Track, sort, and manage incoming correspondence and agency responses</li><li>Maintain organized records and filing systems</li><li>Perform data entry and manage information packages</li><li>Keep your Project Lead informed without being asked &mdash; proactive updates, early flags, no surprises</li></ul>Who You AreThis role is a great fit if you:<ul><li>Run your own day without needing someone to direct your every move</li><li>Stay on top of multiple tasks and deadlines independently</li><li>Deliver work you're proud of &mdash; accuracy matters more to you than just getting it done</li><li>Communicate clearly and on time, especially when something changes or goes sideways</li><li>Thrive in a fast-moving environment and adapt without losing track of the details</li><li>Are dependable &mdash; when you say you'll do something, it gets done</li></ul>What We're Looking ForRequired<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Strong attention to detail &mdash; accuracy is everything in this role</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access)</li><li>Clear, professional communication skills &mdash; written and verbal</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and stay organized</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>Prior experience in an administrative or project support role</li><li>Familiarity with environmental consulting, NEPA, or regulatory processes (helpful but not required &mdash; we train!)</li></ul>Employment Details<ul><li>Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)</li><li>Schedule: Monday&ndash;Friday, 8:30 AM&ndash;5:00 PM; flexible hours negotiable</li><li>Location: Remote &mdash; candidates must be based in or near Columbia, MO</li><li>In-Person: Occasional meetings with your local Project Lead as needed</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>$18.00&ndash;$22.00/hour, based on experience</li><li>PTO and sick time</li><li>8 company-paid holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day) + 1 floating holiday</li><li>401(k) with 3% company match (after eligibility)</li><li>Health insurance (partially employer-funded)</li><li>Dental insurance available</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Professional development, including NEPA training and certifications</li></ul>Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hourExpected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>This is a fully remote role that requires strong independent follow-through.
