Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated, career-oriented teacher with a passion for Early Childhood Education whose general duties will be as follows.
<ul>
<li>Teacher plans, supervises and implements a superior Early Childhood Educational program in accordance with school policies and The Malvern School philosophy.</li>
<li>Teacher maintains a safe, healthy and educational environment for the class.</li>
<li>Teacher communicates regularly with parents, in person and through the use of technology, meeting (or exceeding) parent expectations.</li>
</ul>
To qualify for a lead teaching position with The Malvern School you must meet one of the follow criteria:
<ul>
<li>A bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field.</li>
 <li>A bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children.</li>
<li>An associate&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 2 years of experience with children.</li>
<li>An associate&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years of experience with children.</li>

What will you be doing? 

 
As a Teacher Assistant, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, according to NAEYC guidelines. Responsibilities include:
<ul><li>Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks &ndash; 12 years.</li><li>Assisting teachers with instruction in the classroom.</li><li>Decorating inside and outside of classrooms as needed.</li><li>Maintaining a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
</li><li>Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.</li><li>Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.</li></ul>
