The Mediation Center is a nonprofit organization in Columbia, Tennessee. We are a place where families going through difficult transitional periods can come and develop solutions to their disagreements without experiencing the emotional and economic costs of contested litigation. We provide Maury and surrounding counties with high-quality dispute resolution services that are accessible to everyone. We help people solve and prevent conflict.Position Description:The Mediation Center is looking for an energetic and dedicated Program Coordinator for our Juvenile Victim Offender Reconciliation Program. This program helps juveniles take responsibility for their actions and help them be part of the resolution process. This gives the juvenile a voice and helps them develop conflict resolution skills. Mediation helps find a peaceful resolution &amp; promote restorative justice in our community&rsquo;s youth. The position is multifaceted and calls on a variety of skills to be successful. We are looking for someone to help support our Executive Director while managing a host of initiatives. This position requires a high school diploma at minimum.This position is critical to the success of our organization. This role will have the following responsibilities:1. Manage the juvenile Victim Offender Reconciliation Program (VORP) which includes, but is not limited to; facilitate juvenile mediations, attend juvenile court on Tuesdays, maintain direct communication with juvenile court staff and attend VORP related meetings.2. Responsible for maintaining relevant data for VORP and preparing reports as needed to the Executive Director and courts.3. Collaborate with the Executive Director to make improvements for sustainability of the center. Everything can be improved upon and we want your input to help us constantly grow.4. Organize and develop processes, maintain records, help us communicate and work together more efficiently.5. Assist in developing new programs and classes that fit the needs for the Judicial Districts we serve.6.
