The MetroHealth System is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our growing Hematology/Oncology team . This role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across outpatient oncology, hematology, and supportive services within a collaborative and fast-paced clinical environment.
We welcome motivated new graduates and encourage candidates with prior oncology experience to apply. Experience in areas such as chemotherapy management, sickle cell disease management, bone marrow biopsy procedures, or cell therapy/BMT is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
<ul><li>Provide comprehensive clinical care to oncology and hematology patients in an outpatient setting
</li><li>Perform thorough clinical assessments and manage acute and chronic conditions
</li><li>Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
</li><li>Participate in procedures and supportive services related to oncology and hematology care
</li><li>Maintain compliance with institutional policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements
</li></ul>Qualifications
<ul><li>Previous experience as an Advanced Practice Provider preferred
</li><li>New graduates with oncology experience or strong oncology-focused clinical training are encouraged to apply
</li><li>Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient management skills
</li><li>Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
</li></ul>Required Credentials
<ul><li>Graduate of an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) program
</li><li>Current licensure in the State of Ohio:
</li><li><ul><li>APRNs: Active RN license and APRN Certificate of Authority
</li><li>Physician Assistants: Active PA license
</li></ul></li><li>National board certification in specialty area (APRN or NCCPA, as applicable)
</li><li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (or obtained within 90 days of hire)
</li><li>Obtain advanced life support certification relevant to the practice area within 180 days of hire
</li><li>Eligible for and able to obtain clinical privileges with The MetroHealth System; credentialing initiated through the Medical Staff Office upon hire
</li><li>Maintain required collaborative or supervisory agreements in accordance with Ohio law
</li><li>For Nurse Practitioners: Maintain a Standard Care Arrangement as required by the Ohio Board of Nursing

APP - Hematology Oncology

Summary:

Assists and collaborates with Research department leadership in the development of study budgets that are representative of the procedures outlined within protocols. Qualifications: 
 
Required: Associate Degree in a Science, Healthcare, or other related field. Three years of experience working as a clinical research coordinator working with human subjects, or two years of experience and one of the following certifications: &bull; Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) &bull; Certified Clinical Research Professional by the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA). &bull; Advanced Clinical Research Coordinator Certification (ACRCC) by the Certified Clinical Research Professional Society (CCRPS). In lieu of degree, five years of experience as a clinical research coordinator working with human subjects. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or obtains within 90 days of hire. Experience working with an Institutional Review Board (IRB). Good organizational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in personal computers and various software/database applications (i.e. EPIC, OnBase, and the Microsoft Office Suite). Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Maintains competencies in clinical areas. Willing and able to adhere to flex work schedules as needed, including weekend hours. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Preferred: Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Science or another related field. Experience with finance/billing. Currently a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) or the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA). Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products.</div>

Orders supplies, maintains safe food storage, and helps oversee volunteers. Provides nutrition education and food choice guidance to food clinic participants. Maintains accurate records of participant data and outcomes. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications: 
 
Required: Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in health- or human services related field OR Associate degree in Dietetic Technology or other food- or health-related field with 2 years of experience in a food service or nutrition-related role in a clinical, health promotion, or educational setting, Meets one of the following: &bull; Possess a current SERV Safe Food Protection Manager Certification. &bull; Possess a current comparable Level 2 food protection course certification as specified in rule 3701-21-25 of the Ohio Administrative Code. &bull; Obtains a Level 2 food protection course certification within 90 days of hire. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Excel, etc.). Must have access to reliable transportation to travel to other locations within The MetroHealth System based on operational needs. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Preferred: Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics from a collegiate program approved by ACEND. Experience with human subjects research, CITI training/CREC certification in good standing preferred. 1 year of experience as a Dietetic Technician in a clinical area. Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents. Ability to push/pull/lift 100 pounds. Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products. Requires exposure to warm and cold temperatures.</div>
