The MIL Corporation</b> is seeking a highly motivated <b>AI and Azure Cloud Engineer (Software Engineering, Senior Associate) </b>to drive the migration of on-premises development and full SDLC environments to an Azure cloud environment for a federal agency. The ideal candidate will spearhead an initiative that aims to modernize legacy applications, act as a strategic technical advisor, and integrate AI/LLM solutions to optimize cloud workflows.</p><p>
This position currently requires a remote schedule. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.</p><p><b>
Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Lead the migration of legacy applications and on-premise SDLC environments to Azure-based cloud applications.</li><li>
Architect, provision, and manage cloud resources across all project phases (Testing, Development, Production, etc.).</li><li>
Develop and manage accurate cost estimates for cloud infrastructure, resources, and services.</li><li>
Act as the primary technical advisor for the planning, architecture, and execution of cloud and AI projects.</li><li>
Solution and implement AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to make cloud processes, projects, and development workflows more effective and efficient.</li><li>
Monitor, manage, and optimize Azure cloud environments and AI API services.</li></ul><p><b>

Required Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>
Minimum of 10 years of overall applicable professional experience.</li><li>
Minimum of 6 years of technical experience working directly with similar cloud systems, environments, and migrations.</li><li>
Proven expertise in moving legacy applications to Azure-based cloud infrastructure.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to set up cloud resources and calculate detailed cost estimates for multi-phase cloud projects.</li><li>
Applied experience utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) and artificial intelligence to improve technical processes and business solutions.</li><li>
Strong capability to act as a technical leader and advisor to stakeholders.</li></ul><p><b>
Desired Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>
Experience with Palantir Foundry (Highly preferred).</li><li>
Knowledge of Azure Data Lake and Databricks.</li><li>
Python experience.</li><li>
Experience fine-tuning or training custom ML/language models.</li></ul><p><b>
Education</b></p><p>
BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other relevant technical/business field.</p><p><b>
Clearance</b></p><p>
Ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance</p><p><b>

For this position, the projected compensation range is $125,000 - $175,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL&rsquo;s complete compensation package.
