</h3>The Land Protection and Mitigation Specialist will work within The Nature Conservancy&rsquo;s Ohio Stream and Wetland In-Lieu Fee Mitigation Program (OMP) and collaborate with other OMP staff to secure land for stream and wetland mitigation projects. This may include identifying and resolving title issues; negotiating agreements, conservation easements, and/or environmental covenants with landowners; developing and routing materials for internal and external project review and approval; ordering and reviewing appraisals, boundary surveys, and environmental site assessments; developing maps using ArcGIS Pro; managing conservation data; and assisting with the production of reports. The Land Protection and Mitigation Specialist may also work on developing baseline documentation reports and conducting easement compliance monitoring.
Another key function of this role is managing mitigation credit reservations and sales, which are used to fund the program&rsquo;s land protection and restoration work. This involves responding to mitigation credit inquiries, conducting due diligence, developing maps, obtaining internal approvals, processing paperwork, and recording data.
The Land Protection and Mitigation Specialist works under the supervision of the Associate Mitigation Program Manager, and collaboratively with other OMP staff and TNC staff. They communicate with the Corps, Ohio EPA and other organizations, and individuals as needed in carrying out duties. Work will be generally based in an office setting, with some opportunity for fieldwork.
May work in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain and under physically demanding circumstances. This is a remote position that can be located anywhere within Ohio. Columbus, Ohio area preferred. This position will be expected to attend in-person meetings in Dublin, Ohio at least twice a month.

</h3><ul><li>BA/BS and 5 years&rsquo; experience in natural resource management, land protection, real estate or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
</li><li>Experience negotiating complex agreements.
</li><li>Relationship building experience with a variety of partners, i.e., land trusts, metro parks, state and local government, private landowners.
</li><li>Experience with principles of land acquisition.
</li><li>Experience communicating with the public and/or media both in writing and verbally.
</li><li>Experience completing tasks independently with respect to timeline(s).
</li><li>Experience with communication via written, spoken and graphical means in English.
</li><li>Experience using common software applications such as Word, Excel, web browsers, etc.

</h3>The High Divide Headwaters Stewardship Technician works with private and public land managers in a beautiful and wild part of southwest Montana on a variety of on-the-ground land stewardship objectives. Conservation and monitoring projects include stream restoration, rangeland vegetation monitoring, rare and endemic species monitoring, invasive species management, adaptive grazing management implementation, and wildlife friendly fencing. Position offers a unique opportunity to be involved in a collaborative, science-based, applied conservation program, and to gain experience in a wide variety of land and water issues. The Stewardship Assistant may work in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain and under physically demanding circumstances.
</div>Responsibilities &amp; Scope:
<ul><li>Field biology: freshwater data collection and monitoring, rangeland ecology and vegetation surveys, rare and endemic plant surveys, and adaptive management programs.
</li><li>Wildlife friendly fencing, temporary electric fencing.
</li><li>Stream restoration in ephemeral and perennial streams (willow planting, building one-rock dams and BDA&rsquo;s)
</li><li>Community outreach with landowners and agency partners.
</li><li>Entering data into MS Excel, MS Access, and ArcGIS.
</li><li>Invasive plant mapping and monitoring.
</li><li>Herbicide application and integrated weed management.

This is a full-time, seasonal position with an approximate start and end date of May 2026 &ndash; October 2026. Residence in TNC shared housing is a requirement of this position. Shared housing is located at TNC&rsquo;s Centennial Sandhills Preserve in a remote portion of the Centennial Valley in southwest Montana. High Divide Headwaters Stewardship Technician

<div><div>We&rsquo;re Looking for You:
</div>We are looking for a Front-End Email Development Intern to fill a paid 10-week summer internship. The intern can be a graduate student, or recent graduate (between 2024 and 2025). This position is home-based in the United States and will provide a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between academics and real-world work.
This project focuses on updating and modernizing Marketing&rsquo;s Centralized Email Program (CEP) templates used for donor and program communications. The intern will rebuild outdated HTML email templates so they are mobile-responsive, brand-aligned, and fully editable inside SAS CI360. This work will enable content authors to update headlines, images, body text, and modules themselves without developer support.
<div>What We Can Achieve Together:
</div>The intern will be responsible for rebuilding the existing email templates in HTML and CSS, applying mobile‑responsive best practices to ensure they function seamlessly across devices. They will take approved UX mockups and translate them into code so that the templates reflect the organization&rsquo;s brand expressions. A key part of the role will be converting static, non‑editable templates into modular versions that can be fully edited within SAS CI360 by incorporating SAS-specific data attributes into HTML tags, allowing content authors to update headlines, images, body text, and modules without developer support. This will provide the intern with the opportunity to learn about and gain experience in dynamic HTML markup in the context of an enterprise marketing automation platform (SAS CI360).
In addition, the intern will manage end‑to‑end quality assurance using Litmus, testing and validating that the templates render correctly across different email clients and device types. This position will report to the CEP Web Developer under the Marketing Technology team.
As the Front-End Email Development Intern, you will:
<ul><li>Collaborate with the UX Designer and CEP Web Developer to ensure templates align with brand standards and approved mockups.
</li><li>Deliver a complete set of modular, reusable email templates that empower content authors to build campaigns independently.
</li><li>Troubleshoot rendering issues across major email clients and devices, ensuring consistent performance and accessibility.
</li><li>Balance technical precision with creative problem-solving to translate design concepts into responsive, editable templates.
</li><li>Contribute to the modernization of the CEP by enabling faster campaign launches and greater flexibility for donor pilots.
</li><li>Work independently on technical tasks while seeking input and feedback to ensure quality and alignment with project goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
