 The Osthoff Resort &amp; Spa is seeking an individual to join our Grounds Crew as a full-time, year-round Landscape Technician. This role plays a key part in ensuring the resort&rsquo;s outdoor spaces create long lasting first impressions for guests and continuously reflect our high standards.
 
 
 
 Duties and Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Ensure that the resort grounds are presented and maintained at AAA Four Diamond standards
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform turf maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, irrigating, fertilizing, etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Apply pesticides as needed
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain and install hardscapes such as walkways, patios, and outdoor guest areas
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with seasonal planting projects and annual plant care&mdash;planting, watering, fertilizing, mulching, pruning, weeding, etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support snow removal and winter property maintenance
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with outdoor holiday decorating
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with larger-scale landscape beautification projects
 </li>
 <li>
 Operate landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, compact loaders, aerial equipment, etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Operate company vehicles including pickup truck and utility transport vehicles
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform preventative maintenance on landscaping equipment
 </li>
 <li>
 Diagnose and perform repairs to landscaping equipment
 </li>
 <li>
 Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
 </li>
 <li>
 All other duties as assigned

 </ul>
 
 Qualifications:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Must be 18 years of age
 </li>
 <li>
 Must have a valid driver&rsquo;s license
 </li>
 <li>
 Broad knowledge of grounds, turf, and plant care with at least two years landscape experience or related education
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of plant and weed characteristics, growth habits, and care
 </li>
 <li>
 Must have Commercial Pesticide Applicator Category 003.0 Turf &amp; Landscape Certification (or must be obtained within first year of employment)
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to operate landscaping equipment and vehicles
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of routine/preventative equipment maintenance
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to diagnose and perform repairs to equipment and/or vehicles
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in operating and maintaining irrigation systems a plus
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to lift 50 + lbs. on a regular basis
 </li>
 <li>
 Availability to work some weekends/holidays throughout the year and be on-call for snow removal during winter months
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong customer/guest service skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
 </li>
 <li>
 Willing and able to work outside in various weather conditions
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to kneel, bend, twist, reach, stand, climb/work on ladders and aerial lifts, and shovel on a frequent basis
 </li>
 <li>
 Positive attitude and a willingness to take direction
