We produce a wide range of theatre, from full scale musicals to comedies, dramas and original new work. Our community service programs have gained national attention. With a $17+ million annual operating budget, and celebrating our 105th Season, we offer 10-12 diverse productions every season as well as a growing Festival of New American Theatre. This is a full-time, year-round position.Job SummaryThe Maintenance Technician/Day Porter plays a vital role in ensuring our facilities are safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for all who use them. This dual-function position splits responsibilities evenly between performing routine maintenance and light repairs on building systems&mdash;such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical&mdash;and providing daily cleaning and upkeep of common areas. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a strong commitment to customer service. This role is essential to creating a clean, functional, and comfortable environment for our staff, visitors, and guests while addressing maintenance needs quickly and effectively.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Technician (50%):<ul><li>Perform routine maintenance and light duty repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.</li><li>Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues.</li><li>Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.</li><li>Assist with the installation and setup of equipment and fixtures.</li></ul>Day Porter (50%):<ul><li>Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of common areas, including lobbies, restrooms, and break rooms.</li><li>Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal.</li><li>Restock supplies in restrooms and other areas as needed.</li><li>Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues observed during daily rounds.</li><li>Provide excellent customer service to building occupants and visitors.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Proven experience in maintenance and/or janitorial roles.</li><li>Basic knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills.</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Ability to stand, walk and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.</li><li>Comfortable working in various environmental conditions.</li></ul>Physical Environment<ul><li>The majority of work is done indoors.</li><li>General Theatre and lobby areas as well as business offices.</li><li>Two apartment complexes.</li><li>Offsite warehouse.</li><li>Must be able to work on a schedule that may include weekends.</li></ul>What&rsquo;s In It For You<ul><li>Competitive Compensation</li><li>Medical, dental and vision insurance</li><li>Paid Vacation, Holidays, Sick Time and Personal days</li><li>Paid Sabbatical Program</li><li>Free tickets to all productions</li><li>Discounts at the in-house bar and restaurant</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
