POSITION OVERVIEW:</b></div><div>
Provident Bank is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Social Media and Communications Specialist to assist and collaborate with the Director of Public Relation and Communication to lead strategic communication efforts that elevate our brand, engage employees, enhance the customer experience, and support business objectives. This multifaceted role requires a seasoned professional with strong experience in social media strategy, corporate communications, public relations, and internal content development to support a high performing and growth oriented financial institution.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></div><div></div><div><b><br>
Social Media</b></div><ul><li>
Develop, manage, and execute Provident Bank&rsquo;s social media strategy across platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram.</li><li>
Create and schedule content that aligns with the bank&rsquo;s public relations strategy, marketing campaigns, thought leadership, and Provident&rsquo;s brand promise of commitment.</li><li>
Monitor and analyze social media performance using analytics tools; optimize content based on insights.</li><li>
Engage with followers and manage responses in coordination with Customer Experience and Compliance teams.</li><li>
Manage social media complaints</li><li>
Stay current on trends and platform changes to maintain a competitive edge.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Public Relations &amp; Corporate Communications</b></div><ul><li>
Support and implement public relations strategies to promote key business initiatives, enhance the reputation of the bank, emphasize Provident&rsquo;s capabilities, competitive advantage, and commitment to the communities they serve.</li><li>
Work closely with the bank&rsquo;s PR agency on press releases, media pitches, quarterly surveys and coverage reports.</li><li>
Develop internal communications to support business partners, including marketing campaigns, products and services updates, organizational announcements, and event messaging that is consistent with the bank&rsquo;s brand promise and Guiding Principles.</li><li>
Ensure all communications are compliant with regulatory guidelines and aligned with brand standards.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Employee Newsletter</b></div><ul><li>
Lead the development and distribution of the Bank&rsquo;s &ldquo;Provident Buzz&rdquo; employee newsletter.</li><li>
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to source stories that highlight employee achievements, company updates, success stories, and community engagement initiatives.</li><li>
Write, edit, and format content to reflect the bank&rsquo;s voice and foster employee engagement.</li><li>
Track engagement metrics and implement improvements based on feedback.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</b></div><ul><li>
5+ years&rsquo; experience working for a financial institution is required.</li><li>
A bachelor&rsquo;s degree in marketing, communications, or public relations is required.</li><li>
A history of producing innovative and impactful communications solutions across social media, public relations, and corporate communications vehicles, paired with a proven ability to grow responsibilities over time.</li><li>
Experience working with a PR agency on the execution of PR campaigns, media pitches, and thought leadership initiatives to drive brand awareness and enhance the reputation of the company.</li><li>
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills across multiple formats and channels, including experience with newsletters and company publications.</li><li>
Proficiency with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, native platform insights).</li><li>
The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.</li><li>
A collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
WORKING CONDITIONS:</b></div><div>
Work is performed in a normal office environment. Noise levels are usually moderate. This position involves travel to customers and property locations.</div><ul><li>

Pay Details:</b></div><div>
$58,900 - $84,200</div><div>
Please note, the base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs.</div><div></div><div><br>
This role is incentive eligible based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and<i> </i>performance.</div><div></div><div><br>
