 The Public Interest Network&rsquo;s Creative Team seeks a content writer. Our team helps our network of environmental and consumer advocacy organizations win the country over to a forward-looking agenda by messaging, packaging and amplifying our organizations, our campaigns and our staff. We are looking for a smart, inspired and detail-oriented candidate to join our team and tell and amplify the stories of PIRG, Environment America and other groups in our network, through web content, email alerts, newsletters, annual reports and more. This position requires exercising discretion and independent judgment in making decisions in matters of significance.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Some of the things you will do
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 
 Connect:
 
 Work with the PIRG and Environment America state directors and program teams, learn our issues and campaigns, and keep on top of our action, progress and results.
 
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Tell stories:
 
 Write (and rewrite, and rewrite again), edit and proofread stories that capture attention and motivate, excite, persuade and enlighten.
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Amplify and expand stories:
 
 Amplify our stories on the web and in print. Adapt them for email alerts and fundraisers, campaign content, direct mail appeals, newsletters, annual reports and more.
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Get and stay organized:
 
 Come up with a plan that puts you in a position to deliver content that makes an impact. Manage your time and keep track of your progress. Organize the team of people you need to take your work from concept to completion.
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Get training and direction:
 
 Practice and perfect your craft. Learn new skills. Get direction up front, editorial feedback throughout, and an evaluation at completion. Keep getting better at what you do.
 </li>

 Compensation and Benefits
 
 
 
 We&rsquo;re a nonprofit that gets the most bang for the buck for our donors. Target annual compensation for this position for someone 1- 3 years of relevant experience is $38,250-$42,000. The Public Interest Network offers a competitive benefits package. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and dependents, time off, a commuter benefit program, a 401(k) plan with employer match, parental leave, long term disability insurance, and may include needs-based student loan assistance.
