Overview
The Richardson School is currently seeking a Special Education Teacher to join their Beloit campus!
The Richardson School is an alternative placement option for local districts to access for their students with significant needs and behavioral concerns. These students are typically diagnosed with a combination of developmental or neurological disabilities and emotional, behavioral or mental health disorders. The school calendar follows the typical 180 educational days with the opportunity to attend Extended School Year for students in need of this programming.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Special Education Teacher, you will:<ul><li>
Develop and implement overall classroom Behavior Management Plan</li><li>
Aid Special Education Supervisor in development and implementation of crisis cycle and sensory profile</li><li>
Update progress towards and participate as an IEP team member</li><li>
Collaborate and lead Instructional Aides working in their classroom</li><li>
Be trained in our therapeutic approaches</li><li>
Maintain a caseload of 6-10 students</li></ul>
To be considered for this job, you must meet the following requirements:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree from an accredited college or university</li><li>
Be certified by the State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction in one of the following licenses: Cross-Categorical Special Education (1801), Intellectual Disabilities (1811), or Emotional Behavioral Disabilities (1830)</li><li>
Experience working with individuals who display needs in the areas of autism, cognitive delays, EBD, mental health, and other related disabilities preferred</li></ul>
WAGES &amp; BENEFITS:<ul><li>
Hours: 8-4pm during the regular school year + availability to work ESY</li><li>
Schedule: Monday- Friday, following a traditional school calendar</li><li>
Salary Range: $54k- $68k; Final salary based on level of education + years of experience</li><li>
PTO: 5 Personal days &amp; 5 Sick days; Our teachers are paid year round!</li><li>
