SAFE Alliance seeks a CARES Case Manager for the Child Abuse Prevention &amp; Intervention Services program in the SAFE CARES department. This position will coordinate client services, ensure safety and stability, and facilitate long-term healing and self-sufficiency for those individuals who are at-risk or have experienced commercial sexual exploitation, or sex trafficking. They will provide prevention, crisis intervention, and safety planning assistance, along with stress management and life skills development, identifying and applying for resources and meeting basic needs in the community as well as staffing and leading activities at Liza's House (CARES Drop-In center).

We are dedicated to ending violence through prevention, advocacy, and comprehensive services for individuals, families, and communities that have been affected by abuse.
In the past two years (23-24), our community outreach and education has provided over 12,000 adults and youth violence prevention training. The number of forensic exams provided at Eloise House numbered over 300. Our various housing and shelter programs provided over 700 survivors per day with safe housing and shelter. Over 120 survivors fleeing sex trafficking received services through our CARES program and over 27,000 callers/chats/texts, walk-in advocacy, crisis intervention and face-to-face emotional support has been provided through our 24/7 confidential SAFEline.

Position Details:

We are looking for one person to work on a full-time, non-exempt basis for an annual salary of $47,500 to $49,500 dependent upon experience and an additional annual language differential of $3,600 for those who are English/Spanish bilingual. The work location will be based at all major SAFE Alliance Campuses in the Austin metroplex. This position will include some travel in the community or between campuses and will allow for some remote/hybrid work. This position currently requires you to participate in an On-Call schedule, requiring you to quickly respond to and report critical issues or risk management situations within 1 hour during scheduled work hours. There is also the potential to serve in an 24 hour on call rotation as needed with the ability to respond to crisis in person within (90mins.) Routinely shifts at the Drop-In location are created with the flexibility to cover shifts as necessary for ratio.

<ul><li>Benefit plans and benefit start dates are prorated based on date of hire and hours worked. Eligibility in employer paid benefits, paid time off and holidays are dependent upon full-time employment status and/or hours worked and may be subject to change.
</li></ul>Required Qualifications:
<ul><li>Experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, or abuse highly preferred.</li><li>
Experience in case management, social services, housing support, advocacy or child welfare system highly preferred.</li><li>
Knowledge of trauma-informed care and best practices in survivor advocacy.</li><li>
Ability to exhibit strong case management, crisis intervention, and advocacy skills highly preferred.</li><li>
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent years of professional-level relevant experience is acceptable in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.</li><li>
Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish is required; fluency being the ability to clearly and accurately communicate to convey information using the Spanish language, both verbally and in writing.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work with diverse populations.</li><li>
Strong case management, crisis intervention, and advocacy skills.</li><li>
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.</li><li>
Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.</li><li>
Substantial movements of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive manner with the manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers.</li><li>
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, or move objects.</li><li>
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time including up to 8 hours a day.</li><li>
Close vision (clear at 20 inches or less) and distance vision (clear at 20 feet or more).</li><li>
Moderate noise (e.g., business offices with computers and printers, light traffic).</li><li>
Requires travel between SAFE sites and homes or other locations around the community, therefore the work location will vary from an office setting to non-office settings.</li><li>
This position requires driving. You must have a valid, State of Texas Driver's License (If in possession of an out-of-state license, obtain a State of Texas Driver's License within 90 days of beginning employment.) AND at least three (3) consecutive years of driving experience OR one (1) year of driving experience if over 27 years of age AND an acceptable driving record that covers at least the last three years of driver history.</li><li>
This position requires completion of the 40-Hour Office of Attorney General Sexual Assault Advocacy Training Program in person within six (6) months of starting employment, along with participating in annual continuing education throughout your employment.
</li><li>Pass all required criminal history background checks (including an FBI fingerprint check if applicable), as well as a pre-employment drug screen and TB test, if applicable.
