Function: The Security position will assist with night security for the residential program to provide a caring, respectful, and safe atmosphere for those seeking life transformation through the ARC program.<br>
</div><div><b>
Duties and Responsibilities:</b></div><ul><li>
Check personnel for proper identification and clearance.</li><li>
Permit and document authorized people to enter property and document anyone exiting.</li><li>
Observe and report suspicious activity and protect Salvation Army property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.</li><li>
Conduct rounds throughout the building, maintain log book, and monitor alarm systems and video surveillance.</li><li>
Request emergency personnel for any high-risk situations.</li><li>
Have clear understanding of policy regarding confidentiality, response to law enforcement personnel, fire evacuation plan, and procedure for medical emergencies.</li><li>
Guard Salvation Army property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.</li><li>
Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.</li><li>
Sound alarm or call police or fire department by telephone in case of fire, difficulty with unauthorized people, or medical emergencies. Firearms and tasers are NOT allowed.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><div><br>
<b>
Qualifications:</b></div><ul><li>
Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.</li><li>
Security experience preferred.</li><li>
Must be able to write log entries and incident reports as needed.</li><li>
Must be in agreement with The Salvation Army&rsquo;s Christian spiritual approach to rehabilitation.</li><li>
Must be certified in basic First Aid including Narcan administration or become certified within 60 days of hire.</li></ul><br>
