Everything we do as an organization, is intended to provide a hand UP instead of a hand out including our one year Opportunity Village Housing program.Reports to: Program DirectorPosition Type: Part-TimeLocation: The Opportunity Village / Dream CenterPosition SummaryThe Program Support Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of The Opportunity Village and helps ensure a safe, structured, and compassionate environment for women and their children. This role focuses heavily on transportation, resident support, childcare assistance, and administrative duties. The ideal candidate demonstrates patience, professionalism, maturity, and a heart for trauma-informed, Christ-centered service.Key ResponsibilitiesResident Support &amp; Transportation<ul><li>Provide safe transportation for residents to and from appointments, work-related errands, and other approved outings using company owned vehicles.</li><li>Accompany residents to the library, YMCA, and other community resources as scheduled.</li><li>Serve as the primary transport for residents who need to pick up sick children from school or daycare.</li><li>Assist residents with sick children, including staying with the child as needed so the mother can prepare meals while in quarantine.</li><li>Maintain appropriate documentation for all transport activities according to program procedures.</li></ul>When Driving is Minimal, Resident Assistant assists with the following:Childcare &amp; Family Support<ul><li>Provide childcare assistance as needed, particularly during emergencies, sick-child scenarios, or quarantine-related adjustments.</li><li>Support residents in developing appropriate routines for their children that align with Opportunity Village guidelines.</li></ul>Program Operations<ul><li>Organize donations and maintain cleanliness, order, and inventory within the Opportunity Village Closet, ensuring items are sorted, labeled, and accessible for staff and residents.</li><li>Monitor Study Hall sessions, ensuring residents follow expectations, maintain appropriate conduct, and receive support as needed.</li><li>Monitor resident class attendance, reporting concerns or patterns of non-attendance to the Resident Success Manager.</li><li>Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, copying and preparing materials for classes</li></ul>Community Living &amp; Safety<ul><li>Model healthy communication, conflict resolution, and trauma-informed interactions at all times.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in social services, childcare, ministry, or related fields preferred.</li><li>Must be at least 26 years of age with a valid driver&rsquo;s license with a clean driving record required.</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.</li><li>Experience in residential programs, childcare, ministry, or trauma-informed settings is highly preferred.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with the Program Director, Resident Success Manager, and other staff.</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with occasional physical tasks (e.g., donation sorting).</li><li>Must be supportive of the mission, vision, and faith-based values of The Opportunity Village and Dream Center.</li></ul>Core Competencies<ul><li>Christ-Centered Mindset &ndash; Demonstrates humility, integrity, and compassion in alignment with the organization&rsquo;s Biblical values.</li><li>Communication &amp; Professionalism &ndash; Able to give clear instructions, maintain boundaries, and model positive behavior.</li><li>Adaptability &ndash; Handles urgent needs (such as sick-child situations) calmly and efficiently.</li><li>Organization &amp; Time Management &ndash; Keeps schedules, transportation logs, and donation spaces orderly and up to date.</li></ul>To be considered for employment, ALL APPLICANTS MUST read and agree with our Core Values.<ul><li>Jesus First</li><li>People Matter</li><li>Our Jobs are Important</li><li>Our Team Matters</li><li>Be Set Apart</li><li>Great Things Never Come Easily</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>What do you know about our organization, and why do you want to work here in this role?</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Preferred)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Easley, SC 29640 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
