We are actively searching for a dedicated Assistant Project Manager to play a vital role in our continued success. This position focuses on overseeing projects within Division 8 and Division 10. As the Assistant Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Project Manager in all aspects of project execution, ensuring that each project is completed on time and within budget.
 
Your responsibilities will encompass a range of critical tasks including estimating, detailing, document management, and overseeing the procurement, shipping, and receiving processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in project management while working closely with seasoned professionals in the field. You will be an integral part of a team that values precision, efficiency, and exceptional project outcomes. We are looking for a candidate who is not only adept in the technical aspects of project management but also shares our commitment to upholding the high standards Basnight & Sons has maintained for 100 years.
 
Primary Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Assist in preparing and validating project estimates, quotes and purchase orders.</li>
<li>Help manage, update, and organize projects in bid tracking software.</li>
<li>Efficiently edit and organize job documents.</li>
<li>Work with PM to address changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and resolve scope conflicts.</li>
<li>Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.</li>
<li>Effectively resolve customer issues and complaints with a proactive approach.</li>
<li>Handle incoming calls and provide relevant support.</li>
<li>Greet walk-in customers and provide assistance as needed.</li>
<li>Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.</li>
</ul>
Skills and Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>2+ Years experience in the Doors and hardware, building materials, or related construction industry role.</li>
<li>Proficiency in software tools like ComSense and Pro-Tech is preferred.</li>
<li>Strong competency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive.</li>
<li>Experience working with people in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.</li>
<li>Knowledge of frames, door, and hardware products, materials, and industry standards.</li>
<li>We are seeking candidates who are locally based in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area.</li>
