What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company as a Materials Planner, you will be responsible for: 
<ul><li>Develops material requirements using planned order status reports from the system output or from advanced information.</li><li>
Prepares requisition orders specifying quantity and scheduled delivery dates utilizing the desired inventory level policies in determining quantities and delivery dates.</li><li>
Analyzes reports of over ordered parts and initiates adjustments to purchase orders in keeping with established order policies.</li><li>
Adjusts any purchase orders affected by engineering drawing and bill of material changes when notified by Engineering.</li><li>
Daily systematic adjustments consisting of order exception messages co-existing with the Ariba project.</li><li>
Coordinates the transportation activities for incoming parts direct to the Windom facilities while keeping overall costs within optimum cost and time parameters.</li><li>
Coordinates information and delivery on new production parts for prototype and new product builds.</li><li>
Supports the plant&rsquo;s JIT program with analysis of usage and suitability of potential vendors and parts for inclusion in the program.</li><li>
Coordinates the activities required remedying parts shortages caused by tooling delays, equipment deficiencies, supplier capacity constraints, engineering problems and/or other related issues. Works directly with Quality Control when quality problems arise.</li><li>
Interacts with shop floor supervisors on parts emergencies and outages.</li><li>
Acts as primary contact person and maintains open communication with suppliers of production parts.</li><li>
Complete inventory analysis and SAP adjustments for part issues including to request cycle counts as needed and obtaining required approval signatures for compliance.</li><li>
May perform other duties as assigned by manager.</li></ul> 
What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
<ul><li>High school diploma or GED required. Two year post high school education from a vocational technical school or college in business administration, accounting or related field or a minimum of 2 years direct experience in inventory control, materials management or traffic operations preferred.</li><li>
Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Excel preferred</li><li>
Independent worker and problem solving preferred</li></ul>
