<div><div><b>Position Summary</b></div>
<div>A Groundsperson is responsible for preparing the job site and loading and unloading trucks with logs, brush, and debris. This position services and maintains equipment, is responsible for directing traffic, and cleans up the job site. A Groundsperson will assist tree crews by working on the ground and handing tools and heavy materials to crew members.</div>
<div></div><div><b>Duties and Responsibilities Include</b></div>
<div><i>Essential Duties:</i></div>
<ul><li>Clears undergrowth from right-of-way by using hand tools or saws</li>
<li>Clears sites, streets, and grounds of woody and herbaceous materials, such as tree stumps, fallen trees, and limbs</li>
<li>Flags traffic to protect employees and the public from injury</li>
<li>Uses a chainsaw to cut brush, logs, and larger stumps</li>
<li>Gathers and feeds brush into wood chippers</li>
<li>Operates the controls for winches, booms, and spray equipment</li>
<li>Follows and gives hand, voice, or other signals in operating associated equipment</li>
<li>Services gasoline, air, and hand-powered tools, as well as other tree-related equipment</li>
<li>Drives and operates trucks and equipment as assigned</li>
<li>Duties and responsibilities may change with or without notice</li>
</ul>
<div></div><div><b>What You'll Bring to the Team</b></div>
<ul><li>Understands occupational hazards and safety precautions</li>
<li>Understands basic knots, including but not limited to Bowline, Blake's Hitch, Taut-Line Hitch, and Clove Hitch</li>
<li>Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record per Company requirements</li>
<li>Knowledge of essential job functions and responsibilities</li>
<li>Attention to detail</li>
<li>Organizational skills</li>
<li>Strong oral and written communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to problem solve</li>
<li>Meet all physical requirements of the position</li>
<li>Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations</li>
<li>18 years of age or older, or 21 if CDL is required</li>
<li>Legally authorized to work in the United States</li>
