The Trike Stop Childcare Center and Preschool in Edmonds, WA is a family owned and operated, fully licensed childcare center and preschool offering care to 172 children ages 6 weeks old - 6 years old. We have found success through offering lower than required ratios in every classroom, small group sizes and employing ECE professionals. We want our teachers to be experienced (licensed childcare facility), educated (ECE credits), be passionate about young children, have a good understanding of the WAC and be reliable &amp; dependable. We pay a competitive hourly wage of $19 - $25 an hour based on experience and education.Two Year Old Lead Teacher: Monday - Friday, 7:45-4:45 pm. Our twos program consists of 10 students, and 2 full time teachers, making it a 1:5 teacher to student ratio. All applicants should have experience working with children in a licensed childcare setting as well as but not limited to: Lesson planning (circle time, small &amp; large motor, music &amp; movement, sensory), creating an age/developmentally appropriate curriculum, diaper changing, food service, indoor &amp; outdoor play, engaging with the children at floor and table play, a good understanding of age appropriate activities and vocabulary, great communication (both verbally &amp; electronically) with co-workers/management/parents, positive redirection techniques and be reliable &amp; dependable.Lead teacher candidates should have their certificates/degree in Early Childhood Education, or be enrolled in ECE courses actively working towards certification.Our Lead &amp; Assistant teachers work full time and we NEVER send teachers home early. All full time Trike employees can rely on a guaranteed 40 hours a week and overtime is often available but never required. We offer FULL medical, dental and vision insurance to full time employees, paid holidays, PTO time, lesson planning time and in person daily support.Required certificates and trainings: CPR &amp; First Aid certified, HIV &amp; AIDS training, negative TB Test, STARS basic 30, MERIT portable background check, Safe Sleep Certification, and food handlers card.
