Teach relevant law courses to students. Responsible for the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of academic success programs for law students across all years. Counsel and support students by conducting workshops. Provide strategic leadership in skills-based teaching, support students by counseling and tutoring, and create early intervention initiatives that promote academic excellence, retention, and bar readiness. Demonstrate commitment to student development, and collaborative academic support practices tailored to diverse learning styles and student needs including basic writing and analytic skills.</p><p></p><p><b>
Essential Functions:</b></p><p>
Develop and manage a comprehensive academic success program spanning first-year through upper-division law students.</p><p></p><p>
Teach academic success courses (e.g., Advanced Legal Applications and Foundations of Law) and deliver skills-based workshops (e.g., legal analysis, exam writing, time management).</p><p></p><p>
 Provide individualized academic counseling and coaching to students, including those identified as at-risk.</p><p></p><p>
Supervise and train academic success fellows, student assistants, and peer tutors in delivering effective support.</p><p></p><p>
Utilize technology innovations to enhance students&rsquo; learning experience</p><p></p><p>
Design and implement early assessment tools and data-driven interventions to improve student outcomes.</p><p></p><p>
Collaborate with Academic Success Faculty to recruit, coordinate, train, and supervise ASP student fellows. to integrate academic skills instruction into the broader law school curriculum.</p><p></p><p>
Track student performance metrics and provide reports to administration on academic trends and outcomes.</p><p></p><p>
Serve on committees focused on academic achievement, retention, and curriculum development as needed.</p><p></p><p>
 Work in close coordination with the Director of Bar Success to ensure alignment between academic and bar-readiness efforts.</p><p></p><p>

Preferred Qualifications:
</b></p><p>A demonstrated record of effective self-starting and follow-through is preferred. Demonstrated success in assisting student learning with the ability to identify methods to enhance learning for multiple learning styles is preferred. The ability to build rapport with all students, including those at risk, and a demonstrated ability to work well with a variety of constituencies are preferred. The ability to create, implement, and evaluate academic support is preferred.</p><p></p><p><b>

Physical Requirements:</b></p><p>
Job is physically comfortable; individual is normally seated and has discretion about walking, standing, etc. May occasionally lift very lightweight objects.</p><p></p><p><b>

No major sources of working conditions discomfort, standard working environment with possible minor inconveniences due to occasional noise, crowded working conditions, minor heating/cooling or ventilation problems, and/or up to 40% use of PC terminal.</p><p></p><p><b>

Director, Academic Success Program

<p></p><div><div><p><b>Job Summary:</b></p><p>
Under general supervision perform semi-skilled installation. Perform repair and preventative maintenance on air conditioning, refrigeration and heating equipment. Plan, inspect, record and monitor HVAC concerns. Research concerns and order repair parts and supplies.</p></div><p></p><div><p><b>
Essential Functions:</b></p><ul><li>
Perform all duties of Asst. HVAC Technician i.e. troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment and systems. Service and maintain all types of HVAC/R systems, parts, units and components (e.g. steam traps, pressure regulators, steam regulators, pumps, fans). Replace defective devices/materials and check refrigerant levels in HVAC/R systems to ensure proper operations of units. Service and maintain high temperature and high-pressure heating systems, parts and controls according to prescribed specifications. Assemble and disassemble HVAC/R systems and replace or repair defective parts. Inspect and test HVAC/R systems and components to identify problems and to assure system is set to operate at prescribed technical specifications. Check and adjust pressure and vacuum gauges and controls to ensure efficient operations. Check joints and connections for gas leaks using various devices and techniques. Check regulators for all HVAC/R systems and units to assure they are adjusted correctly for proper operation and efficiency.</li><li>
Perform, oversee and inspect installation of HVAC equipment and systems. Install HVAC/R systems (units ranging in size from one-half tone to seven hundred tons plus cooling capacity) in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. Install and connect (adjusts and tests) electrical devices such as timers, timer relays, motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls and circulating-ventilation fans to control panels.</li><li>
Join tubing or pipe to various HVAC/R units by means of sleeves, couplings or unions and solders or brazes joints using torch to form a complete unit. Install control devices by wiring connections between building power source and HVAC/R components and units. Retrofit refrigerant in air conditioning units. Cut, thread and install pipe for all HVAC/R systems using appropriate equipment. Cut, bend, wedge and flare tubing to correct length and shape.</li><li>
Monitor inventory. Order and obtain supplies from stockroom and/or outside vendors.</li><li>
Read and interpret installation, maintenance and operations manuals.</li><li>
Coordinate activities with other trades and Health and Safety as needed. Plan, inspect, record and monitor HVAC concerns. Research concerns and order repair parts and supplies. Perform other duties as assigned by Superintendent/Supervisor.</li></ul></div><p></p><div><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

Ability to perform mathematics associated with trade applications (fractions, ratios, percentages) required.</li><li>
Ability to read, write, observe and accurately follow oral, written and graphic instructions required. Problem solving skills and the ability to use judgment in determining the correct course of action when troubleshooting required.</li><li>
