Information Management<ul><li>
Identify, develop, write, edit, and disseminate communications related administrative unit(s), and other people, programs, and initiatives across campus. This may include but is not limited to creating communications plans and timelines, writing news stories and institutional announcements, email communications, video scripts, website content, talking points, internal reports, and social media posts. Repurpose content for different internal audiences and channels.</li><li>
Work as part of the OSC internal communications team, in close communication with internal communications specialists from other divisions and units, as well as the OSC team as needed.</li><li>
Collaborate with the senior director of internal communication to envision the most strategic ways to disseminate content.</li></ul>
Strategic Planning<ul><li>
Envision, draft, and execute strategic communication and marketing plans.</li><li>

Internal Communications Specialist

<div>The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking Patient Care Technicians for the Acute Medicine Unit (4/5 South) within the Medical Surgical Services (MSS) Division. Our Medical-Surgical Services Division is one of the largest in the hospital, with more than 260 of our 811 beds assigned to medical-surgical care settings.
The Adult Acute Internal Medicine Units (4/5 South) are both 13-bed, general medicine inpatient units that serve patients with multiple diagnoses and co-morbidities, providing general care to adult and geriatric patient populations. You will work with multiple different medical services that may include but not limited to: family practice, internal medicine, cardiology, nephrology, gastroenterology, wound care, infectious disease and oncology. We offer opportunities for education, quality improvement, and first-hand collaboration with medical teams. 4/5 South is a fast-paced, challenging and team-oriented working environment. Patient Care Technician - Acute Internal Medicine Unit (4/5 South) - 60% Day/Evening Shifts

<div>The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry inpatient unit (1JPW) is looking for an experienced Behavioral Health Consultant to assist in program development, assessment, and behavioral treatment for individuals with severe challenging behaviors. Patients may have a history of mental illnesses, intellectual disabilities, or medical illnesses that make them vulnerable.
Child &amp; Adolescent Psychiatry (1JPW):
The 1JPW unit is a 15-bed inpatient unit dedicated to psychiatric evaluation and care of child and adolescent patients (3-17 years old). Patients on the child and adolescent unit experience depression, anxiety, eating disorders, intellectual disabilities, substance use disorders, and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder. Members of a full complement of professionals provide structured therapy, including dialectical behavior therapy. A unique unit design incorporates Circle School, gymnasium, and outdoor activities to improve patient experience and outcomes.
Position Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Prepares for individual patient contacts and assessments through review of medical charts and pre-appointment contact with patient, family, and caregivers. Prepares intake summary information for the inpatient unit.</li><li>
Identifies behavior goals for hospitalization, assist team in the development of behavior programming and data collection. Reviews data with psychologist as necessary and develops additional assessment and treatment plans.</li><li>
Assists in gathering objective data for behavioral assessment and treatment implementation.</li><li>
Actively involved in implementing behavior treatment on the unit and coaching staff with frequent involvement in prevention of challenging behaviors, de-escalation and crisis management.</li><li>
Coordinates behavior programming with interdisciplinary team members. Consults with interdisciplinary team members and provides training for staff as appropriate.</li><li>
Completes literature reviews and continuing education in the area of applied behavior analysis and dialectical behavior therapy.</li><li>
Must be able to effectively prevent and de-escalate potential crisis situations following training and support from interdisciplinary team. Consultant will regularly be working in situations where physical aggression and property destruction will occur.</li><li>
Assures quality in program delivery through collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.</li><li>
Communicates with internal and external stakeholders regarding patient goals, progress, behavior recommendations, and placement.</li><li>

<div>The Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Iowa is seeking a Finance Manager with the Clinical Research Services team that will provide oversight for cancer clinical research finance and accounting. Proactively monitors complex accounting functions, ensuring compliance with all university, state, federal, and sponsor requirements. Negotiates budgets and acts as a resource for financial analysts in negotiating budgets with sponsors. Partners with principal investigators, clinical research staff, and administrators to increase understand of research finances and ensure transparent, compliant, and efficient management of oncology clinical research funding. Partners with leadership to support cross-departmental initiatives and organizational efforts to improve financial compliance and operational efficiency.

Clinical Research Finance Manager - Remote - Cancer Center

<div>The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a patient centered Care Team Coordinator (CTC) 100% (40 hours a week) to work in our Dermatology Bettendorf Clinic. This position supports our team-based care where you&rsquo;ll spend more time with patients and expand your physician-support and administrative duties, increases the efficiency and productivity of the physician and anticipates future needs to facilitate the flow of the clinic. Accurately documents events and decision-making in a manner that results in appropriate medical charting. Our team specialize in the care of everyone in the family, in every generation, from birth, for life.
Our Care Team Coordinator (Medical Assistant) provide full medical and surgical services, from general dermatology care to specialty services, to patients with skin diseases. We use the latest techniques to care for a range of conditions affecting the skin. We also work closely with you to take precautions against skin cancer, infections, dry skin and the aging effects of sun exposure. Our services include treatment of cosmetic skin problems such as age spots and birthmarks and the removal of unwanted hair and tattoos. We offer chemical peels, Botox injections and dermal fillers. We also offer general dermatology services, and we offer quick scheduling for appointments.
Our Care Team Coordinator's (Medical Assistant) accompany the physicians or medical providers into the examination rooms in order to transcribe the clinician&rsquo;s and care team&rsquo;s encounter with the patients in real time. They accurately and thoroughly document the encounter with our patients as it is being performed by the providers, which may include documentation in the following sections: problem list, history of present illness, review of systems, physical exam, assessment and plan, procedures and treatments performed by team, patient education, orders, medications, referrals, explanations of risks and benefits, and instructions for self-care and follow-up.

Duties to include:<ul><li>

Populates patient-reported information into provider-built EMR documentation tools for the specific disease states and preventative visits.</li><li>
Reviews EMR for patient care gaps, addresses and updates missing data.</li><li>
Communicates a summary of the patient-reported information to the provider prior to entry of the room or within the room with the patient present.</li><li>
Accompanies the physician or medical provider into the examination room in order to transcribe the clinician&rsquo;s and care team&rsquo;s encounter with the patient in real time.</li><li>
Accurately and thoroughly documents the encounter with the patient as it is being performed by the provider, which may include documentation in the following sections: problem list, history of present illness, review of systems, physical exam, assessment and plan, procedures and treatments performed by team, patient education, orders, medications, referrals, explanations of risks and benefits, and instructions for self-care and follow-up.</li><li>
Appropriately documents results of laboratory and radiographic studies as dictated by the clinician. Organizes all patient test results and transcribes the results of the encounter into the patient&rsquo;s medical record.</li><li>
Responsible for the input of orders for provider signature or signing orders (per protocol) as directed by the provider. This may include referral orders, medication refill orders, imaging orders, or lab orders.</li><li>
Identifies the portions of the encounter that were scribed on behalf of the provider using the scribe signature per policy.</li><li>
Schedules future appointments, referrals, procedures, and diagnostics as appropriate.</li><li>
Provides patient instruction using pre-approved patient education materials specific to the chief complaint or for the health promotion of observed behaviors known to contribute to poor health, as directed by the provider.</li><li>
Prints after visit summary and completes discharge of patient from exam room.</li><li>
Provides age-appropriate care/service as applicable to role.</li><li>
Assures reliable, predictable outcomes and no needless waits.</li><li>
