</b></p><ul><li>Presents a neat and clean appearance, appropriate for a professional health care environment in accordance with hospital and Central Transportation and Dispatch (CTD) Policy.
</li><li>Demonstrates and maintains a high level of professionalism at all times.
</li><li>Takes initiative, stays productive, looks for patients to transport, requests next move, access patient readiness and requests another move if current assignment will be delayed more than 5 minutes.
</li><li>Keeps CTD radio on and wears earpiece, at all times while at hospital, including breaks.
</li><li>Uses appropriate radio etiquette at all times, utilizing appropriate ten-codes and statements in a pleasant tone of voice.
</li><li>Properly identifies patient that is to be transported.
</li><li>Acknowledges and maintains the right to privacy and confidentiality.
</li><li>Notifies nursing staff of patient transports prior to leaving the floor and after the return of each patient.
</li><li>Signs patient in and out of each patient care area.
</li><li>Attends to patient&rsquo;s comfort and safety during transport.
</li><li>Assists other members of the Central Transportation Department as needed (i.e., other transport functions or with locating equipment needed to perform a transport in a timely fashion).
</li><li>Informs receiving departments in person of a patient&rsquo;s arrival.
</li><li>Informs nursing and/or technician whenever there is a change of status in transporting a patient (i.e., refusal, delay, different mode of transportation.)
</li><li>Informs receiving department and the CTD Dispatcher of any delays, cancellations, changes in mode of transportation.
</li><li>Assumes responsibility for the transportation (patient and non-patient) activities and other tasks that contribute to the patient&rsquo;s care.
</li><li>Maintains a patient-centered focus and strives to support the mission, goals and values of the hospital, department and division.
</li><li>Assists nursing personnel to position patients for all types of transports and provide proper immobilization of patient as required. (IVs Portable Oxygen, etc.)
</li><li>Handles patient and non-patient moves with the same sense of urgency.
</li><li>Removes transportation equipment from the patient care areas and returns them to the proper locations. (Stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, etc.)
</li><li>Performs daily work assignments in an efficient, organized manner and with an optimum degree of accuracy.
</li><li>Interacts with physicians and other technical staff to provide quality, safe and efficient care for the patient.
</li><li>Reports equipment malfunctions promptly to Dispatcher, marks equipment appropriately and delivers equipment to Biomed.
</li><li>Attends annual refresher and as needed training for demonstrating competency of all equipment used during the transportation of patients. Equipment includes but not limited to: Wheelchair, Stretcher/Gurney, TotaLift, Telemetry Monitor, Slide-Board, Air-Pal, Gate-Belt, O2 (oxygen) usage, Video Chair and various types of Beds.

</b></h2>The Ambulatory Informatics and Operations Analyst applies informatics knowledge and collaborates with operational leadership, end users of the electronic health record (EHR), Revenue Cycle, and IT to develop and drive adoption of standard workflows, assess usability and recommend optimizations. Supports departments by providing on site rounding, assessment, and execution of opportunities for efficiency, and implementation of user level system (EHR) personalization. Executes communication plans that are developed by project teams ensuring understanding and adoption across all departments.

</li><li>Spends a significant amount of time rounding in ambulatory clinic settings. Communicates electronic health record documentation requirements. Observes and identifies efficiencies to enhance the patient, provider, and allied health staff experience. Documents and reinforces standard workflows and recommends modifications. Utilizes lean methodologies (PDCA, SOP Documentation, etc.) to document standards and increase ambulatory efficiency. Determines proper upline to escalate barriers (department vs informatics leadership). Ensures follow-up with providers and staff for removal of barriers and implementation of improvements.
</li><li>Participates in the distributive build program. Supports user level personalization. Triages optimization requests obtaining necessary build requirements to assist with navigation. Ensures those requests that are triaged meet operational goals and direction.
</li><li>Establishes relationships with ambulatory department and division leadership, physicians, and allied health staff.
</li><li>Researches and advises leadership on best practices utilizing benchmarking resources including, but not limited to, Epic User Web, GPIN, MGMA and the Access Collaborative.
</li><li>Able to collaborate with departments across the health system including information technology, revenue cycle, operations, and organizational leadership to understand ambulatory processes. Utilizes that knowledge to review, analyze, and optimize the patient and user experience by applying basic informatics principles that meet operational goals.
</li><li>Collaborates with team members to understand KPIs post go live. Understands workflow. Executes communication plans developed by team members ensuring adoption and understanding across departments. Escalates barriers to adherence to team and department leaders to ensure transformation.
</li><li>Participates in introductory transformational governance groups ensuring ambulatory expertise is represented. Brings items forward for discussion/approval based on findings during clinic rounding.
</li><li>Provides guidance and support to team members.
</li><li>Certification or proficiency in assigned Epic application must be obtained within 6 months of employment or assignment.
