Job Summary 
 
The Transportation Manager is responsible for managing personnel, vehicles, and administrative matters in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Transportation. This role will manage the day-to-day operations of UT San Antonio Transportation Services by ensuring efficient staffing, scheduling, and vehicle maintenance. 
 
Core Responsibilities 
<ul><li>
Manages the recruitment, hiring, evaluation, and disciplinary processes of transportation employees. Identifies, prepares, and conducts training opportunities for new and existing personnel.</li><li>
Oversees the vehicle maintenance program by: monitoring work orders and coordinating with approved vendors for repair and maintenance of vehicles; verifying vehicle inspections are complete and submitted in compliance with departmental, University, State, and Federal regulations; and managing inventory of parts and supplies utilized for routine vehicle maintenance.</li><li>
Serves as the Transportation liaison with campus partners in the scheduling, coordination, and billing of transportation services for special events.</li><li>
Prepares, analyzes, and presents transportation operation reports, including but not limited to: passenger counts, vehicle mileage and usage, fuel consumption, and route evaluations.</li><li>
Monitors employee execution of safe transportation practices and customer service in accordance with departmental, University, State, and Federal guidelines.</li><li>
Works in collaboration with the Associate Director of Parking and Transportation to develop, maintain, and manage transportation standard operating procedures.</li><li>
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with University personnel, subordinates, and the public.</li><li>
Works in conjunction with the Associate Director of Parking and Transportation to manage operational financial responsibilities.</li><li>
Performs the duties of subordinates as necessary to meet the University's operational needs.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul> 

Required Qualifications 
<ul><li>
Bachelor's Degree in a related field.</li><li>
Three (3) years of related work experience.<ul><li>
Additional experience may substitute for education on a one year for one year basis.</li></ul></li><li>
Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Air and Passenger endorsements.</li><li>
Current Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical Certification.</li><li>
This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.</li></ul>

This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.

Job Summary 
 
Provide academic instruction to pre-college participants in the TRIO program. Instructors will plan lessons, provide instruction, and ensure participants are showing academic progress. The Summer Academy will operate from May 12 through June 26. Instructors will teach at UTSA Downtown campus Monday through Wednesday during morning hours. The remaining hours will be towards lesson planning and evaluating students.
 
 
Core Responsibilities 
<ul><li>
Attends all required professional development days before the program start date.</li><li>
Reports to class and other assigned duties on time.</li><li>
Responsible for at least one hour per day for one-on-one tutoring.</li><li>
Attends weekly staff meetings.</li><li>
Creates lesson plans for daily/weekly instruction.</li><li>
Provides both the students with clear and concise grading procedures and a description of learning outcomes.</li><li>
Administers all quizzes and exams to participants.</li><li>
Grades all homework, quizzes, and exams.</li><li>
Compiles grades and submits final grades to the Project Director as required.</li><li>
Serves as a positive role model and facilitates the participants' personal growth and academic motivation/achievement.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
