Annual Days: 260 
General Purpose: The Custodian is responsible for cleaning, repairing, and maintaining assigned buildings, equipment, systems, and grounds in compliance with all safety, health and school rules and regulations to provide students with an invitational school environment that is a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient place in which to learn and develop. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Clean all assigned areas daily to include sanitizing bathroom, restocking bathroom supplies, vacuuming and cleaning carpets, clean and maintain tiled floors, dust all room surfaces, collect and dispose of trash, and clean all glass surfaces.</li>
<li>Maintain playground and playground equipment (elementary only).</li>
<li>Maintain and monitor supply room and deliver supplies as directed.</li>
<li>On snow days, assist in the cleaning and salting of sidewalks.</li>
<li>When special events are held at assigned facility, complete extra cleaning before and after the event and assist with any set up or breakdown of equipment.</li>
<li>Report to work in appropriate work attire as directed and maintain proper grooming.</li>
<li>Complete minor maintenance repairs or grounds-keeping tasks in school buildings as assigned.</li>
<li>Positively represents the school and its mission to the students, parents, colleagues, and general public.</li>
<li>Ability to work cooperatively with school staff and administration.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul> 


Minimum Requirements:
<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred.</li>
<li>Basic math, writing, and communication skills.</li>
<li>Technical knowledge concerning maintenance and custodial techniques including standard methods for materials, tools and safety practices.</li>
<li>Ability to operate and maintain all types of custodial equipment, hand tools and snow removal equipment.</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of health and safety codes, custodial chemicals and OSHA requirements.</li>
<li>Valid Colorado driver&rsquo;s license preferred.</li></ul> 


Experience:

1-2 years' experience in custodial or maintenance work preferred. 
Hours:

Monday - Friday: 2:00 P.M. - 10:30 P.M.

(Hours/Shifts subject to change based on Facility Manager, school requirements, and applicant availability)
