Position summary: 
The CNA will provide basic nursing care by assisting residents with personal, nutritional and restorative care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
 
Position qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>High school graduate or GED preferred</li>
<li>California Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate required</li>
<li>Knowledge and experience in bedside nursing</li>
<li>Well groomed with appropriate manner and conduct</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively on verbal and written levels</li>
</ul>
Position Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Consistently honor and encourage the resident’s freedom of choice</li>
<li>Knock on the resident’s door prior to entering the room</li>
<li>Explain any and all care and procedures to be given to the resident</li>
<li>Respect the resident’s privacy by providing privacy during care</li>
<li>Provide resident’s visitors privacy during visits</li>
<li>Honor the right of the resident to refuse any treatment (but must still notify charge nurse when resident refuses)</li>
<li>Assure confidentiality of all resident related information</li>
<li>Report all concerns and complaints of the resident to the proper authorities in a timely manner</li>
<li>Honor resident’s personal property rights by keeping a current inventory list, storing all personal items as necessary assuring all personal property is not used by staff or other residents</li>
<li>Assist the residents and family through dying and death experience by assuring care and dignity</li>

Certified Nursing Assistant The Village Health Care Center - 3rd Shift

The Village is accepting applications for an experienced bakery chef to become part of our culinary team. The qualified candidate will have at least one year experience baking from scratch for a busy kitchen. The position requires creativity in introducing new items to the menu as well as decorating skills. Education may be substituted for experience.
 
Other skills required: Experience as a line cook or prep cook preferred
 
$18.00-$20.00 Per Hour Based on Experience
 
Part-Time Shift Available for Weekends Only
 
Summary: 
<ul>
<li>Prepares appetizing baked goods (rolls, cakes, cookies, etc.) and desserts for residents and employees following standardized recipes by performing the following duties.</li>
</ul>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following: 
<ul>
<li>Directly responsible for preparation of baked goods and desserts (for regular and special diets) according to menu following standardized recipes. Calculates quantities required for the number of persons to be served.</li>
<li>Delegate’s responsibility to cooks assistants assigned to help in preparation of baked goods and desserts.</li>
<li>Assists in cleaning functions in order to keep work area clean and maintained in a safe and sanitary manner.</li>
<li>Ensures that food is stored, marked, dated and covered correctly following FIFO methods.</li>
<li>Meets food production schedules according to menu.</li>
<li>Prepares baked goods and desserts for banquets and other special functions as required.</li>
<li>Notifies Food Service Director and/or Chef of food items and supplies in low supply.</li>
<li>Performs all duties in keeping with the mission statement of The Village and Freedom Properties. Adheres to Food Service Dept. motto “Customer Satisfaction is My Responsibility”.</li>
<li>Other duties, assignments and/or special projects as required may be assigned that relate to the service of our residents to daily dietary department operations.</li>
</ul>
