Job Description</b><br>
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategically minded Corporate Archivist to build, manage, and steward our organization&rsquo;s historical records and brand heritage. This role is essential to preserving our legacy, supporting business operations, enabling research, and providing access to key corporate information across departments. The ideal candidate is passionate about records, storytelling, and the long-term preservation of both physical and digital materials &mdash; and can build an archive that serves both employees and future generations.</p>
<p><b>
Key Responsibilities</b></p>
<p><b>
Archive Development &amp; Stewardship</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Establish, implement, and maintain a corporate archives program, including policies, procedures, and collection strategies.</li>
<li>Accession physical and digital materials including corporate records, publications, photographs, videos, awards, and marketing assets.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain classification, retention, and description standards using recognized archival frameworks (e.g., DACS, ISAD(G), Dublin Core).</li>
<li>Ensure long-term preservation for born-digital and digitized materials through metadata creation, secure storage, and digital preservation practices.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Collection Management</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Arrange and describe collections at all levels.</li>
<li>Manage physical storage, including inventory, environmental monitoring, rehousing, and location tracking.</li>
<li>Implement and maintain archival management or collections systems (e.g., ArchivesSpace, PastPerfect, CatalogIt, or equivalent).</li>
<li>Oversee digitization workflows, quality control, and digital asset linking.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Access &amp; Research</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide research services to employees (executives, communications, legal, HR, marketing, project teams).</li>
<li>Curate materials for corporate communications, campaigns, events, brand storytelling, and major milestones.</li>
<li>Develop searchable finding aids, metadata records, internal portals, or exhibits to increase accessibility of collections.</li>
<li>Educate departments on archival best practices and serve as subject-matter expert in historical documentation.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Governance &amp; Compliance</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with Legal, IT, and Records Management to align archives with retention schedules and compliance requirements.</li>
<li>Manage rights, permissions, restrictions, and confidentiality associated with archival materials.</li>
<li>Ensure all archival activities align with corporate governance and information security protocols.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Special Projects</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead anniversary initiatives, heritage content creation, and historical storytelling.</li>
<li>Manage oral history projects, legacy interviews, and internal knowledge capture.</li>
<li>Support brand identity projects through historical research and visual asset recovery.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Qualifications</b></p>
<p><b>
Required</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Master&rsquo;s degree in <b>Library and Information Science (MLIS), Archives and Records Management, Public History, Museum Studies,</b> or related field.</li>
<li>Formal training or experience with archival theory, appraisal, arrangement &amp; description, and metadata standards</li>
<li>3-5 years of Experience with an archival management system (ArchivesSpace, PastPerfect, AtoM, CatalogIt, or similar).</li>
<li>3-5 years of Experience handling both physical and digital collections.</li>
<li>Strong organization, prioritization, and project-management skills.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Preferred</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience developing or growing a corporate archive or special collections program.</li>
<li>Familiarity with digital preservation standards (OAIS model, PREMIS metadata, format migration).</li>
<li>Knowledge of enterprise file storage systems, DAM systems, or SharePoint.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills.</li>
</ul>
