This is a high-acuity inpatient role within a hospital-based cardiovascular surgery program combining OR first assist, ICU management, mechanical circulatory support, rounding, and clinic responsibilities.If you are a skilled CT Surgery PA comfortable managing complex cardiac cases and mechanical support devices, this is a strong, well-compensated opportunity.Position Details<ul><li>Schedule: Monday&ndash;Friday, 7:00 AM &ndash; 3:00 PM</li><li>Guaranteed: 8 hours per day (Overtime after 8 hours)</li><li>Availability: Full-time preferred; minimum 3&ndash;4 days/week considered</li><li>Setting: Inpatient (clinic located within hospital)</li><li>Patient Volume: 5&ndash;8 per shift</li><li>Start: May (pending privileges)</li></ul>This role integrates OR, ICU, and clinic workflow within one facility.Call Structure (1:2 Rotation)<ul><li>Weekday Call: 3:00 PM &ndash; 7:00 AM</li><li>Weekend Call: Friday 3:00 PM &ndash; Monday 7:00 AM</li><li>Callbacks: Approximately 1&ndash;2 per month</li><li>Shared 50/50 with one other PA</li></ul>Compensation<ul><li>$180 per hour (guaranteed 8 hours/day)</li><li>$1,565 per 24-hour call</li><li>$520 per night call</li><li>$180/hour for callback time</li></ul>Highly competitive California locum compensation for advanced Cardiovascular / Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage.Required Experience &amp; Skills<ul><li>Active California PA license</li><li>Active California DEA</li><li>ACLS &amp; BLS certified</li><li>Cardiovascular / Cardiothoracic Surgery experience required</li><li>OR First Assist</li><li>Endoscopic &amp; open (radial) vein harvesting</li><li>ICU / step-down patient management</li><li>Interpretation of EKGs, X-rays, labs</li><li>Mechanical circulatory support management:</li><li>ECMO</li><li>IABP</li><li>Impella</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>3&ndash;5 years of dedicated Cardiovascular or Cardiothoracic Surgery PA experience</li></ul>This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Cardiovascular / Cardiothoracic Surgery PA seeking strong compensation, structured call, and a high-level surgical environment.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $180.00 per hourExpected hours: 8 per weekWork Location: In person
