DESCRIPTION:
Join our collaborative team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Sr Staff IT Architect, specializing in HR AI solutions. You'll help drive innovation in HR technology solutions that evolve the HR services experience for our users. In this role, you'll focus on the design and architecture of our enterprise HR AI chatbot ('HiRo') and implement AI-driven HR service delivery capabilities.
How you will make an impact:<ul><li>
Design and implement enterprise-wide solutions, with a focus on HR AI.</li><li>
Leverage ServiceNow (including NowAssist) capabilities as well as other AI tools and capabilities (ChatGPTe, Flowise, etc.)</li><li>
Lead the design of AI-driven HR chatbot and AI agent use cases</li><li>
Collaborate with HR stakeholders to translate requirements into robust architectural designs</li><li>
Perform technical analysis and present architecture decisions/recommendations to key stakeholders</li><li>
Define integration patterns across systems, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and protocols</li><li>
Monitor and improve AI performance and adoption in HR service delivery</li><li>
Contribute to AI strategy and governance within the HR technology ecosystem</li></ul>
What you will do:
Architecture<ul><li>
Design AI solutions using ServiceNow and other AI platforms (ChatGPTe, Flowise, etc.)</li><li>
Work directly with HR stakeholders to refine use cases, translating ambiguous needs into clear, scalable designs</li><li>
Define how the HR chatbot and AI agents behave&mdash;how they answer questions, trigger transactions, and interact with systems like Workday and ChatGPTe</li><li>
Design how LLMs connect to APIs, workflows, and data sources&mdash;ensuring solutions are practical, secure, and maintainable</li><li>
Attend requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders</li><li>
Design complex chatbot flows and agentic AI use cases</li><li>
Define integrations and architecture for HR AI solutions (APIs, MCP)</li></ul>
AI Strategy and Guidance<ul><li>
Make product or technology recommendations for AI solutions, evaluating and selecting appropriate tools and platforms to meet business needs</li><li>
Analyze and model technical solutioning options, considering scale, security, UX, business value and cost implications</li><li>
Provide technical assessments, highlighting capabilities, limitations, and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders</li><li>
Research industry best practices for AI technologies in HR service delivery</li><li>
Work with platform vendor to provide usage feedback and request product changes.</li><li>
Knowledge share and collaborate with other technical teams to implement architectural standards across the organization</li></ul>
REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>
Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in enterprise architecture with progressive technical leadership responsibilities</li><li>
Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field</li><li>
Experience with OpenAI products is highly advantageous (e.g., AgentKit, Agent Builder, OpenAI API, ChatKit, MCP Servers)</li></ul>
AI Architecture &amp; Development:<ul><li>
Experience designing LLM-based solutions in enterprise environments</li><li>
Experience with building AI agents and multi-agent orchestration (MCP experience is a plus)</li><li>
Strong skills in prompt engineering, system instruction design, and orchestration</li><li>
Familiarity with multiple AI development platforms</li><li>
Knowledge of RAG including chunking, embeddings, reranking, and retrieval strategies</li><li>
Understanding of hallucination mitigation, grounding, citations, and knowledge freshness</li><li>
Ability to evaluate AI outputs and define performance metrics</li><li>
Knowledge of AI governance, risk, and data privacy</li></ul>
ServiceNow AI &amp; Platform Requirements:<ul><li>
Experience with building ServiceNow Virtual Agent topics with Now Assist</li><li>
Familiarity with AI Agent Studio and AI-powered ServiceNow capabilities</li><li>
Experience integrating ServiceNow with external AI platforms (OpenAI, AWS, etc.)</li><li>
Strong understanding of Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Scripted REST APIs, and outbound integrations</li><li>
Experience designing HRSD solutions (Case Management, Knowledge, Employee Center) is a plus</li></ul>
Additional Skills:<ul><li>
Deep expertise in cloud architecture, cybersecurity, data/analytics, automation, and network infrastructure</li><li>
Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale enterprise solutions</li><li>

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Pennsylvania is $130,000.00&ndash;$185,000.00.

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE:</h3><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"> 

The Senior Clinical Study Associate (CSA) will independently perform tasks related to planning, and execution of clinical studies, supporting the strategy as defined in the Clinical Development Plan. The Senior Clinical Study Associate (CSA) will independently perform tasks related to supporting planning, and execution of clinical studies, supporting the strategy as defined in the Clinical Development Plan. The Senior CSA will provide support for critical day-to-day clinical study activities, including regulatory inspection readiness, in accordance with established protocols under the general supervision of the FSP Manager. The Senior CSA will collaborate with Clinical Operations Manager, study teams, and Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) to support clinical study activities as defined by the operating model. The Senior CSA will also perform departmental tasks as needed.</h3><ul><li>

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Attendance of key team meetings as required; may make presentations (e.g. data, etc.).</li><li>

As part of our global team, you&rsquo;ll have the opportunity to perform and coordinate all aspects of the clinical monitoring and site management process. As a Clinical Research Associate (Level II), you'll conduct remote or on-site visits to assess protocol and regulatory compliance and manage required documentation. You will manage procedures and guidelines from different sponsors and/or monitoring environments (i.e., FSO, FSP, Government, etc.). Acting as a site processes specialist, you will ensure that the trial is conducted in accordance with the approved protocol, ICH-GCP guidelines, applicable regulations, and SOPs to guarantee subjects' rights, well-being, and data reliability. You will ensure audit readiness and develop collaborative relationships with investigational sites. Detailed tasks and responsibilities assigned to your role are outlined in the task matrix. 
 
What You&rsquo;ll Do: 
<ul><li>Monitors investigator sites with a risk-based monitoring approach: applies root cause analysis (RCA), critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify site processes failure and corrective/preventive actions to bring the site into compliance and decrease risks. Ensures data accuracy through SDR, SDV and CRF review as applicable through on-site and remote monitoring activities. Assess investigational product through physical inventory and records review. Documents observations in reports and letters in a timely manner using approved business writing standards. Escalates observed deficiencies and issues to clinical management expeditiously and follow all issues through to resolution. May need to maintain regular contact between monitoring visits with investigative sites to confirm that the protocol is being followed, that previously identified issues are being resolved and that the data is being recorded in a timely manner. Conducts monitoring tasks in accordance with the approved monitoring plan. Participates in the investigator payment process. Ensures a shared responsibility with other project team members on issues/findings resolution. Investigates and follows-up on findings as applicable.</li><li>Participates in investigator meetings as necessary. Identifies potential</li><li>investigators in collaboration with the client company to ensure the acceptability of qualified investigative sites. Initiates clinical trial sites according to the relevant procedures to ensure compliance with the protocol and regulatory and ICH GCP obligations, making recommendations where warranted. Performs trial close out and retrieval of trial materials.</li><li>Ensures that required essential documents are complete and in place, according to ICH-GCP and applicable regulations. Conducts on-site file reviews as per project specifications.</li><li>Provides trial status tracking and progress update reports to the Clinical Team Manager (CTM) as required. Ensures study systems are updated per agreed study conventions (e.g. Clinical Trial Management System).</li><li>Facilitates effective communication between investigative sites, the client company and the PPD project team through written, oral and/or electronic contacts.</li><li>Responds to company, client and applicable regulatory requirements/audits/inspections.</li><li>Maintains &amp; completes administrative tasks such as expense reports and timesheets in a timely manner.</li><li>Contributes to the project team by assisting in preparation of project publications/tools, and sharing ideas/suggestions with team members.</li><li>Contributes to other project work and initiatives for process improvement, as required.</li></ul> 
Education and Experience Requirements: 
<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in a life sciences related fieldor a Registered Nursing certification or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.</li><li>Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 1 years as a clinical research monitor) or completion of PPD Drug Development Fellowship.</li><li>Valid driver's license where applicable.</li></ul>
In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
