Position Description 
Plan the layout, install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus and control equipment according to customer specifications and blueprints by performing the following duties in a safe and timely manner.

Job Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Plan installations to minimize waste, provide future access and avoid unsightly, hazardous and unreliable wiring consistent with code.</li>
<li>Follow blueprints ensuring that wiring is installed before walls, ceilings or floors are completed.</li>
<li>Measure, cut, bend, thread and assemble conduit using hacksaw, pipe threader and conduit bender assisted by Electrician Helper.</li>
<li>Pull wiring through conduit, splices wire by stripping leads of insulation then twisting or soldering wires together and applying tape or terminal caps.</li>
<li>Connect wiring to lighting, power equipment, switch boxes, relays and breaker panels.</li>
<li>Connect power cables to electric motors or pumps and installs grounding leads.</li>
<li>Install control and distribute apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels, fastening in place with screws or bolts, using hand tools and power tools.</li>
<li>Connect power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and install grounding leads.</li>
<li>Test continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, using testing instruments, such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, and oscilloscope.</li>
<li>Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>

<li>Must be at least 18 years of age.</li>
<li>Must have completed Construction Electrician Course at a technical or trade school with at least 1 year of experience in the field or a minimum of 3 years of experience working as Electrician Helper in the field.</li>
<li>In some cases, the Electrician may be required to have state or local certifications.</li>
<li>Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly with supervisor/co-workers and understand direction from supervisor and welder.</li>
<li>Utilize basic math and calculator, read tape measure and understand operation and usage of volt meter/multimeter.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb, bend, twist, stand and reach repetitively, operate moving equipment and work in hot/cold/damp/cramped environments.</li>

Electrician (Industrial)

Position Description

Oversee the implementation of Thompson&rsquo;s Inspection and Test Plans (ITP&rsquo;S) per the assigned site. Review materials to ASTM Requirements, which includes measuring of the components to ensure they are within the specification&rsquo;s tolerance. This includes working with employees as well as outside agencies or consultants involved in inspections and testing.

Job Responsibilities

<li>Generate documentation to provide assurance of compliance to contract requirements, ITP&rsquo;s and Thompson&rsquo;s QA Manual</li>
<li>Ensure all Quality Control records are maintained in an orderly, easily accessible, up to date and secure manner</li>
<li>Ensure policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP&rsquo;s) for Quality Control are being followed for field work and are documented when required</li>
<li>Ensure that materials, workmanship and construction are in full compliance with the contract plans and specifications, and applicable building codes</li>
<li>Generate Non Conformance Report (NCR) for any condition that does not comply with the applicable requirements or specifications</li>
<li>Be knowledgeable of assigned inspection criteria</li>
<li>Require that defective work or material be corrected or removed until made compliant</li>
<li>Approve receipt of materials per ASTM requirements</li>
<li>Accept or reject welds based on assigned written criteria</li>
<li>Perform dimensional checks on materials in question</li>
<li>Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner</li>
<li>Effectively coach Craft in quality program processes</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
Job Qualifications
<ul>
<li>5 years of work experience in the construction field</li>
<li>Able to navigate Code books and technical manuals</li>
<li>Proficient at understanding construction drawings</li>
<li>Have a general understanding of various structural bolting methods (turn of the nut, direct tension indicators, impact wrenches, etc.)</li>
<li>Visual Testing (VT)-VT Level lI or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)</li>
<li>Ability to use weld inspection tools</li>
<li>Ability to use coatings inspection tools</li>
<li>Ability to verify materials using Material Test Reports (MTR&rsquo;s)</li>
<li>Familiarity with construction workplace health and safety concepts</li>
<li>Attention to detail and completes documentation in timely manner</li>

Position Description

Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems, applying knowledge of system operation, and following blueprints. This will be completed in a safe and timely manner with the highest quality possible.

Job Responsibilities

<li>Select type and size of pipe, and related materials and equipment, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to specifications.</li>
<li>Plan installation or repair to avoid obstructions and to avoid interfering with activities of other workers.</li>
<li>Cut pipe using saws, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and pipe-cutting machine.</li>
<li>Thread pipe using pipe-threading machine.</li>
<li>Bend pipe using pipe-bending tools and pipe-bending machine.</li>
<li>Assemble and install variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, using threaded caulked, soldering, brazen, fused, or cemented joints and hand tools.</li>
<li>Secure pipes to structure with bracket, clamps, and hangers, using hand tools and power tools.</li>
<li>Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components or machines and equipment, such as pumps and cylinders using hand tools.</li>
<li>Install and maintain compressors, pumps, meters, pneumatic and hydraulic controls, and piping, using hand tools and power tools, and following specifications and blueprints.</li>
<li>Increase pressure in pipe system and observe connected pressure gauge to test system.</li>
<li>May weld pipe supports to structural steel members.</li>
<li>May observe production machines in assigned area of manufacturing facility to detect machinery malfunctions.</li>
<li>May operate machinery to verify repair.</li>
<li>Respiratory protection is common and may be required.</li>
<li>Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
