Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced capital markets lawyer with significant experience advising startups to join Practical Law&rsquo;s Capital Markets &amp; Corporate Governance team in the US.

About The Role
As a Senior Specialist Legal Editor in Practical Law, you will use your specialist legal knowledge of, and experience in, law and practice addressing issues unique to startups to create and maintain a wide range of content and to support the development of Thomson Reuters AI-powered legal solutions. Working in a supportive team of highly experienced colleagues, you will deal with a breadth of interesting work.
Responsibilities include:
<ul><li>Researching, drafting, and maintaining clear, current, and practical legal know-how content addressing the needs of startup companies for Practical Law and other Thomson Reuters products and initiatives in alignment with market practice, customer needs, and business objectives , using a variety of evolving tools, formats, and content development methods.
</li><li>Monitoring legal, practice, and market developments impacting startups to ensure personal skills and expertise and that our content remains relevant and accurate.
</li><li>Using your legal expertise to support the development of customer-focused AI-powered tools , including identifying and implementing methods that address the intersection of content development and AI-driven legal solutions.
</li><li>Partnering with Product Management to innovate on tech development, product enhancements, and the integration of AI into TR's offerings.
</li><li>Using your legal expertise and writing skills to support the development and application of internal AI editorial tools.
</li><li>Establishing and maintaining relationships with external law firm contributors and industry groups to ensure content reflects market practice and meets customer needs.

Qualifications:
<ul><li>JD required.
</li><li>Minimum of eight (8) years' experience working as a lawyer in a law firm or in-house with a significant amount of experience working with startup companies.
</li><li>Strong technical skills and the ability to effectively utilize various tools, including generative AI technologies, to enhance productivity and accuracy.
</li><li>Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to work on diverse projects and tasks within the generative AI space as well as new and emerging technologies.
</li><li>Deep curiosity about the increasing intersection of AI and legal practice, with a desire to build legal prompt engineering skills and innovative content development methods that optimize AI responses for specific legal tasks.
</li><li>Understand current market issues and proposals to enact, amend, or change laws and regulations impacting US startups.
</li><li>Understand the needs and priorities of law firm attorneys, in-house counsel, and other startups professionals.
</li><li>Skill and passion for writing and the ability to write about complex legal issues clearly and concisely in plain English.
</li><li>Innovative, agile thinker with excellent time management, organizational skills, and demonstrated project management.

About the Role
 
In this opportunity as a Lead Solution Engineer, you will:
<ul><li>Drive the Engineering strategy, planning, design, and implementation of Conga configure, price and quote (CPQ), Conga Turbo Price, Conga Digital Commerce, and PROS Pricing solutions.
</li><li>Provide technical leadership by establishing best practices, enforcing quality standards, conducting code reviews, and mentoring team members to drive high performance.
</li><li>Lead technical research, prototyping, and solution evaluation to recommend optimal tools and architectures, while staying current with updates in Salesforce and Conga.
</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, technical leads, architects, and third parties to deliver solutions.
</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, delivering timely remediation and ensuring system stability and scalability.
</li><li>Foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning, innovation and deployment.
</li><li>Prepare solution development estimates and technical planning, identifying dependencies and risks.
</li></ul>About You:
You&rsquo;re a fit for the role of Lead Solution Engineer if you have the following required qualifications:
<ul><li>10+ years of experience in a technical leadership position designing, developing, and integrating Conga (CPQ, Turbo Price, Digital Commerce) and/or PROS with Salesforce, with a strong focus on leveraging AI-driven Agentforce capabilities to streamline sales workflows and improve team productivity.
</li><li>Knowledge of Conga product configuration management, pricing management, and workflow approval processes, including price dimensions and rulesets, with AI-assisted optimization and seamless integration with Salesforce.
</li><li>Strong technical knowledge of product modeling, pricing, quotation, contract lifecycle, and data migration, including CPQ approvals and discounts.
</li><li>Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and integration tools such as Dell Boomi, Apigee, and Informatica, with exposure to integrating AI services and APIs.
</li><li>A good grasp of technical and quality standards, best practices, and guidelines.
</li><li>Proficiency in Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
</li><li>Knowledge of Product Trials, subscriptions, and Commerce is a plus, especially when combined with AI-driven personalization, recommendation engines, and intelligent sales assistants.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.&amp;#xa;&amp;#xa;For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $118,400 USD - $219,800 USD.&amp;#xa;For Ontario, Canada, the base compensation range for this role is $140,600 CAD - $190,600 CAD.&amp;#xa;&amp;#xa;Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual&rsquo;s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
