We're looking for an experienced Senior Server Engineer to join our team and help design, build and support secure, high-performance server infrastructure in a highly secure environment.
This is a hands-on technical role operating at SFIA Level 5, with opportunities to lead infrastructure projects, mentor engineers and work with enterprise technologies that make a real difference.
What You'll Do<ul><li>
Design, deploy and support Windows and Linux server platforms</li><li>
Manage VMware, Hyper-V and virtualised infrastructure</li><li>
Support enterprise storage, backup and disaster recovery solutions</li><li>
Automate server provisioning, patching and configuration</li><li>
Implement server hardening and security best practice</li><li>
Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise mission-critical environments</li><li>
Work alongside cloud and security teams on hybrid infrastructure</li><li>
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement</li></ul>
What You'll Bring<ul><li>
Strong experience supporting enterprise server infrastructure</li><li>
Expertise in Windows Server, Linux and virtualisation</li><li>
Knowledge of storage, backup and automation tools</li><li>
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills</li><li>
Experience with security hardening and patch management</li><li>
Defence experience and relevant certifications</li></ul>
