Lead Engineer

<div><div>We're looking for a hands-on data engineer who is comfortable writing production-grade SQL, designing ADF pipelines, and questioning whether the thing you're about to build should exist at all. You'll work across our data platform &mdash; from ingestion through reporting &mdash; and partner closely with finance, IR, and portfolio teams to turn undocumented source data into consistent, well-documented and reliable, governed assets. This is not a role for someone who wants to maintain the status quo. You'll be expected to identify what should be automated, document what needs standards, and push back when something is being over-engineered. What You'll Do &bull; Proactively seek clarification when business requirements are ambiguous prior to beginning development work, while exercising independent judgment on technical design decisions. &bull; Keep work item tickets current in Azure DevOps &mdash; updating status, notes, and linked artifacts as work progresses so the team always has an accurate picture. &bull; Write and maintain complex stored procedures, views, and functions in SQL, following team naming and header standards, and building those standards along the way. &bull; Conduct peer code reviews with Git-based workflows (Azure DevOps/GitHub); understands that code review means actually reviewing &mdash; not rubber-stamping PRs. &bull; Contribute to and enforce engineering standards (SQL, ADF, Python, Git branching conventions).
