About the role -
We are looking for an experienced Fluent Commerce Developer to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of high-quality solutions. In this role, you will work hands-on with Fluent Commerce to build scalable, reliable, and efficient commerce applications that support complex order orchestration and enterprise integrations.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams - including engineering, product, and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver with deep experience in OMS workflows, integrations, and modern cloud-native development practices. 
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Develop, configure, and implement Fluent Commerce OMS solutions, ensuring high performance and scalability.</li><li>
Build and integrate order orchestration, inventory visibility, fulfillment, and returns management workflows.</li><li>
Work with product managers, analysts, and senior engineers to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.</li><li>
Integrate Fluent Commerce with ERP, eCommerce platforms, WMS, CRM, and other enterprise systems using APIs and middleware.</li><li>
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices, design patterns, and coding standards.</li><li>
Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality and consistency across the team.</li><li>
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to OMS, integrations, and performance.</li><li>
Stay up to date with Fluent Commerce enhancements, OMS trends, and new technologies to continuously improve solutions.</li></ul> 
Qualifications<ul><li>
4+ years of software development experience, with at least 2+ years working with Order Management Systems (OMS).</li><li>
Strong hands-on expertise with Fluent Commerce (at least 2 year), including configuration, customization, and API-based integrations.</li><li>
Proficiency in Java, JavaScript (Node.js), GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).</li><li>
Experience with microservices architectures, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.</li><li>
Solid understanding of order lifecycle management, inventory models, and fulfillment/returns workflows.</li><li>
Strong experience integrating with ERP, CRM, eCommerce, or WMS systems.</li><li>
Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.</li><li>
Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.</li><li>
Good written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul> 
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
Fluent Commerce certification or experience in large-scale enterprise implementations.</li><li>
Familiarity with headless commerce, MACH principles, or GraphQL-based commerce architectures.</li><li>
Experience with DevOps tools for monitoring and logging (e.g., Kibana, Datadog, Splunk).</li><li>
Exposure to other OMS platforms (e.g., Manhattan, IBM Sterling, Salesforce OMS).</li></ul></div>
