Position Purpose:
</b></p><p>Reviews and processes documents such as subcontractor timesheets, purchase orders, and vendor quotes. Assists in researching vendors and in preparing, reviewing, and posting purchase orders into our accounting system, Costpoint.</p><br>
<p></p>
<p><b>
Essential Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Research&rsquo;s and evaluates potential vendors and agreements.</li>
<li>Assists and occasionally fill in for Senior Purchaser.</li>
<li>Maintains a working understanding of legal and regulatory requirements relating to purchase and procurement, including maintaining policies and procedures to ensure compliance.</li>
<li>Maintains working relationships with vendors, and discuss invoicing and terms, as needed.</li>
<li>Audits invoices and checks for accuracy, receipt of material, and compliance with purchase orders. Resolves invoice discrepancies, investigates root cause, and works with team to prevent future discrepancies.</li></ul><br>

<p><b>
Minimum Qualifications</b></p>
<p><b><i>
Education</i></b></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, or related discipline.
<ul><li>Additional experience in procurement of goods and services or other related areas may be substituted for Bachelor&rsquo;s degree on a year per year basis. (Experience requirements may be satisfied by full-time experience or the prorated part-time equivalent.)</li></ul></li><br>
</ul>
<p></p><p><b><i>Certification</i></b></p>
<ul>
<li>Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or obtain the certification within 12 months of the date of hire</li></ul><br>
<p></p>
<p><b><i>
Experience</i></b></p>
<ul>
<li>Two (2) years&rsquo; experience in procurement of goods and services</li>
<li>Experience in procurement in a government contracting environment, preferred</li>
<li>Experience with DelTek Costpoint, preferred</li></ul><br>
