What you'll do:
As a Communications Manager at TobiiDynavox based in the US, you will play a central role in strengthening our brand presence and reputation in North America, our largest and most strategically important market. You will plan, drive, and execute communications activities that increase awareness of our vision, a world where everyone can communicate, and ensure consistent, high-quality storytelling across all touchpoints.
This is a highly collaborative role working across the organization. You are a proactive, relationship-oriented communicator who thrives in a fast-moving environment and brings a strong ability to turn strategy into effective, localized execution. You enjoy building relationships, shaping narratives, coaching spokespeople, and creating compelling content tailored for different audiences.
Candidates must be located in Eastern Time (EST) to support team collaboration and business hours.
As an Communications Manager, you will be responsible for:<ul><li>
Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans that align with our business strategy and goals.</li><li>
Lead public relations planning, execution, and measurement.</li><li>
Identify and drive media opportunities that elevate visibility for Tobii Dynavox and the assistive communication category.</li><li>
Create, localize, and manage press releases, from planning and drafting to distribution and pitching.</li><li>
Produce high quality written content for external and internal audiences, including executive messaging, speeches, op-eds, and thought leadership articles.</li><li>
Identify and manage opportunities for executives and subject matter experts (SMEs) in conferences, panels, podcasts, and media features.</li><li>
Plan and execute influencer marketing initiatives in collaboration with the global social media and marketing teams.</li><li>
Prepare, brief, and coach spokespeople, including executives, for media interviews, speaking engagements, and public appearances.</li><li>
Support IR communication in the US.</li><li>
Support crisis communication planning and execution.</li><li>
Serve as a key member of the communications response team for issues involving customers, products, regulatory matters, or other sensitive topics.</li><li>
Support internal communications initiatives working closely with the North America Market Unit.</li></ul>
What you'll bring:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.</li><li>
5+ years of proven experience in communications.</li><li>
Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.</li><li>
Experience in executive communications, thought leadership, or spokesperson preparation.</li><li>
Strong understanding of the media landscape, social media environment, and influencer ecosystem.</li><li>
Experience coordinating communication activities across global teams/time zones.</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a service minded, hands on approach.</li><li>
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.</li></ul>
Work Environment Requirements:
<ul><li>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels.</li><li>
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, distributed, and international environment.</li><li>
Ability to travel for events, media engagements, or team meetings (approx. 10&ndash;20%).</li></ul>
