As a Traveling Landfill Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various tools and equipment, loading and unloading of heavy materials, and follow directions from supervisors and fusion technicians. To do well in this role you should be able to travel 100% of the time within Texas and Arkansas, be physically fit, reliable, and be a hard worker. To be considered you must have a valid driver&rsquo;s license, a clean background, and be able to pass pre-employment and random drug screens.
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Understand the basic components of a landfill well and purpose.</li><li>
Understanding of how to approach the landfill to help locate leaks</li><li>
Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.</li><li>
Move tools, generators, etc. around the location and into trenches safely.</li><li>
Load or unload construction materials.</li><li>
Dig trenches and dig around buried piping.</li><li>
Remove, fill, or compact earth.</li><li>
Operate and care for construction equipment, tools, and machines.</li><li>
Read and understand the wellfield map.</li><li>
Become familiar with basic operating procedures for safe excavation and equipment operation</li><li>
Understand and maintain all tools required for pipe welding; ensure tools are in good working condition and properly stored</li><li>
Perform fusion welding on 2&rdquo;, 3&rdquo;, and 6&rdquo; pipe using Pit Bull machines.</li><li>
Weld large-diameter pipe (8&rdquo; to 18&rdquo;) using 6-18 fusion machines.</li><li>
Demonstrate safe and effective operation of fusion equipment, including 6-18, 4-12, and 2-8 machines.</li><li>
Follow directions from supervisors and team leads.</li><li>
Demonstrate a willingness to learn through on-the-job training.</li><li>
Perform worksite clean-up and maintain a clean, organized environment.</li><li>
Clean, inventory, and properly store tools and equipment.</li><li>
Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment as needed.</li><li>
Actively participate in safety talks and maintain a safety-first mindset at all times.</li><li>
Promote safety leadership by properly using PPE, identifying hazards, and speaking up respectfully about safety concerns.</li><li>
Provide support to equipment operators, fusion technicians, and other skilled labor as needed.</li><li>
Assist with the care, maintenance, and organization of construction equipment and materials.</li><li>
Adhere to safety practices, use PPE, identify hazards, and address safety concerns respectfully.</li><li>
Ensure accurate and timely updates to the maintenance log.</li><li>
Communicate effectively with all teams on location to identify issues and contribute to increasing gas flow from the field.</li><li>
Assist in various tasks during upset conditions, including supporting maintenance techs, field techs, construction activities, and plant operations.</li><li>
Maintain housekeeping standards (clean &amp; clear of clutter) in shop, storage, and UTV areas.</li><li>
Comply with all applicable safety and environmental regulations.</li><li>
Follow established field/plant maintenance procedures and design standards.</li><li>
Participate in:<ul><li>

Qualifications/Experience:<ul><li>
Applicant should be comfortable working with computers and navigating Microsoft applications
</li><li>Applicant should be self-directed and have the ability to multitask.</li><li>
No previous experience is required.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>
RNG/Landfill experience, construction experience, heavy equipment operation, and/or fusing of HDPE pipe experience is a plus.</li></ul>
Requirements:<ul><li>

Must be at least 18 years of age.</li><li>
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.</li><li>
Must clear Background Check and Drug test.</li><li>
The ability to communicate effectively is important.</li><li>
The ability to be punctual, dependable, and willing to work long hours if needed is required.</li><li>
The ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.</li><li>
Must have good manual dexterity with physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, working with arms extended above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods. This includes walking catwalks, working in confined spaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions, lifting, driving a vehicle, and operation of light industrial equipment.</li><li>
The ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks in extreme weather conditions is important.</li><li>
The ability to work weekdays and weekends.</li><li>
The ability to work overtime and respond to callouts during off hours.</li><li>
The ability to respond in a timely manner to any emergency is important.</li></ul>
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour + $125 per day per diem.
