Work with technologies such as PostgreSQL and Redis to support application data storage, caching, and job processing</li><li>
Contribute to infrastructure and deployment processes using Docker and CI/CD pipelines</li><li>
Monitor and support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and improve system reliability</li><li>
Improve existing systems by reducing complexity, addressing technical debt, and strengthening system design</li><li>
Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to long-term platform design decisions</li><li>

How This Role Drives the Business</b></h2><p>
As a Senior Software Engineer at TopDog Law, you will design, build, and operate software systems that power critical capabilities across the firm&rsquo;s technology platform.</p><p></p><p><br>
Our engineering team is developing a growing set of services, APIs, and operational tools that support business workflows, data processing, and integrations across internal and third-party systems. These systems extend beyond the capabilities of packaged platforms and form the foundation of the firm&rsquo;s long-term technology architecture.</p><p></p><p><br>
Senior engineers are expected to take ownership of meaningful areas of the platform, make sound architectural and implementation decisions, and ensure the systems they build are reliable, maintainable, and scalable. This role requires strong technical judgment, the ability to operate with autonomy, and a commitment to delivering high-quality production software.</p><p></p><p><br>
Much of our platform is built using modern TypeScript technologies, including Node.js services and lightweight internal interfaces. Engineers in this role will work across backend services, APIs, data workflows, and operational tooling while collaborating closely with Product, Data, and other engineering teams.</p><p></p><p><br>
This is a hands-on role for experienced engineers who enjoy solving complex problems, improving systems over time, and building software that supports real-world operational workflows.</p><p></p><p><br>

5+ years of professional software engineering experience designing and operating production systems</li><li>
Strong experience with <b>TypeScript and Node.js</b></li><li>

The Senior Data Engineer will work closely with the Director of Data, who defines the broader data strategy and architecture. This role focuses on translating that strategy into reliable production systems and ensuring the day-to-day reliability, performance, and scalability of the data platform.</p><p></p><p><br>
