<div>We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler CAD Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems to ensure optimal safety and compliance with relevant codes and standards. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and a commitment to ensuring the highest levels of fire protection in various environments.
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Design, plan, and implement fire sprinkler systems based on project requirements and local building codes.</li>
<li>Prepare 2D and 3D construction documents using HydraCAD</li>
<li>Conduct site assessments to evaluate fire protection needs and identify potential risks.</li>
<li>Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to integrate fire sprinkler systems seamlessly into building designs, interpret and comply with fire codes and standards, and recommend changes in fire codes.</li>
<li>Prepare detailed project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.</li>
<li>Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and clients.</li>
<li>Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and changes in fire protection codes.</li>
<li>Provides technical advice to contractors, architects and engineers while reviewing system plans, monitoring code information and conducting site inspections for new construction projects.</li>
</ul>Qualifications:
<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required</li>
<li>Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, CAD Drafting, or a related field helpful</li>
<li>NICET Certification is preferred</li>
<li>One year experience in the design and implementation of water-based sprinkler systems.</li>
<li>Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (NFPA 13, 14 &amp; 20, state and local building codes, etc.).</li>
<li>Proficiency in AutoCAD, HydraCAD or AutoSprink, and Navisworks</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Demonstrates outstanding communication
</li><li>Ability to produce NFPA compliant submittal drawings</li>
<li>Ability to site survey</li>
<li>Experience with BIM Projects helpful</li>
<li>Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record</li>
</ul>Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25 - $30 per hour
Schedule: 8-hour shift - Monday to Friday
