The Finishing Carpenter is responsible for the installation and finishing of interior structures and features in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. This role requires a keen eye for detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work collaboratively with other trades to complete projects to high standards.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Installation</li><li>Install and finish various types of interior fixtures, including trim, moldings, doors, windows, cabinets, and countertops.</li><li>Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials with precision.</li><li>Ensure all installations are level, square, and in alignment with project specifications.</li><li>Finishing Work</li><li>Apply stains, paints, and finishes to wood surfaces, ensuring a high-quality appearance.</li><li>Sand, polish, and touch up surfaces to achieve desired aesthetics.</li><li>Perform repairs and maintenance on existing fixtures and finishes as needed.</li><li>Collaboration and Communication</li><li>Work closely with project managers, architects, and other trades to understand project requirements and timelines.</li><li>Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.</li><li>Assist in training and mentoring junior carpenters and apprentices.</li><li>Quality Control and Safety</li><li>Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.</li><li>Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary.</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a carpentry apprenticeship or vocational training is preferred.</li><li>Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in carpentry, specifically in finishing work.</li><li>Skills:</li><li>Proficient in using carpentry tools and equipment, including saws, drills, and sanders.</li><li>Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, materials, and finishing processes.</li><li>Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.</li></ul>Key Attributes<ul><li>Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.</li><li>Good physical stamina and dexterity, capable of lifting and handling materials.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per monthWork Location: In person
